a BIG crow bar and a 16# hamer
but if it's your boat their are some bolts or scruws (sp) under the front lip of the seats they may be hard to see as the carpit can hide them

Gator,
I dont have a ranger, but most are quite the same.
You need to find where the bolts are for the seats. they are accessed from an area that is not evident and quite concealed - duh!
1) If the seats lift up, then lift the seats up and feel around everywhere up inside that compartment under the hatch. you may find the bolts, or even a small hole for a socket to get in there and loosen the bolts. this is usually where the access is for the center seat. you really gotta look around in there to find them.
2) if not, go in thru the back compartment area where the batteries and gas tank are. reach around the top and the sides of the livewell tanks and you should find 2 bolts for each seat back. if you dont feel the back of the fiberglass then you aint reched far enough in.
Once you get the bolts undone, the seats should lift up and then out.
Good Luck,
Kopper

Gator ~ on my old Ranger and for that matter on my current Ranger the seat back, (not the bottom cushion) are velcro in place and will pull out. My old boat took a lot of effort (pulling) but they did come out.
Hopefully yours is the same, if it is there will be screws into the carpet behind that cushion, hard to see but they are there and that's how you remove the seaps..the same may be true for the bottom cushion because it might vary year to year and model to model but you get the idea.

Gator, I've had 3 Rangers and all were different. Basicly, there are 2 screws in the front and 2 screws on the seat back. On one, the front screws were obvious, but the other 2 there were plastic covers over them that pop off with a small straight blade screwdriver. The seat on the one boat then lifted straight up off a "clip". The other 2, the seat back center piece comes out. It's velcroed in with a 4x4" piece of velcro, so it's tough to get out, but it will come. Then there are 2 bolts there. If all else fails, Just call Ranger and they can guide you.

i know on the newer rangers there is a part of the seat your back rests on that you can pull off (velcro'ed on) once you get that off there are bolts on both the passenger and driver side there are also other smaller screws on other parts of the seat its just a matter of finding them not sure if the older rangers are the same but i just thought i would share what i knew hope it helps.
