I think it was a great TOC. The sponsers are really stepping up for the FPT. A Ranger Boat, Tundra and a trip to Mexico. 20th-24th got Battery chargers and one got a Hummingbird, Cacoon glasses. It was ran smooth by Vince and staff. I cant wait to see next years TOC, thanks to all the sponsers,to many to name, for making this happen for us.Congrats to the winners, it was tough at Camanche, then you throw in the Delta with winds and rain. The winners deserve it for there hard work.
See ya next year....

I thought it was a great tourmanmet all except the dinner that ran out of meat for a while but that is not Vinces fault. I don't know that people are complaing about with the $500.00 in a TOC. The TOC that I have fished Nor-Cal/Won Bass at clear lake first place was a boat and raffel prizes went to everyone else. It was no secret as to how Vince was going to give away the truck because he told my team partner and I at the ISE show at the beginning of the year. People are crying over $500.00 I will take your check if it is to small for you.
On a side note Tshome Moore with Navionics gave out around 50 blank memory cards but only received 3 or 4 back if you still have one here is his information for you to get in contact with him:tmoore@navionics.com, 800-848-5896.
Once again great show Vince and look foward to seeing you next year and can't wait to see the new sponcers.

The tournament was great. With the tuff fishing at cammanche basically everyone had a chance to win at the delta. Dinner was great and WPC wineres really stepped up with there wine pour. Thanks to Vince and all the other sponsers for all their support this year.

I struggled this year in the TOC, Cammanche was tuff and the Delta, with terrible weather conditions was worse. Vince and the FPT staff did a great job this year. The Lexington Hotel was a great place to host a Delta/Commanche TOC it doesnt get much better. The dinner was a bit disappointing due to the fact of lack of food, but I made up for it with good wine...Day #1 Commanche, Blast Off went smooth and the weight in was quick and easy, Day #2 Delta Blast Off was even better with the help of the I5 Bridge for shelter and the weight in was perfect. What a rush flying down the main channel on the Delta with it pouring rain and 47 boats in front of you and 44 boats behind you, at least if your holding the steering wheel.....
Congrads to all top ten teams, The Bite did not come easy and your time pre-fishing and past experiences paid off.
See Everyone next year, and see Bernal and Stevens in a few years, when I can fish as a Pro...

Future Pro is a JOKE!! If you really pay attention to the payout you might stop and think to yourself hmmm where is all the money going? Now i kno that most tournament directors get there share of money but furture pro is getting there share and some!! If you compare the payback to other circuits the payback in the future pro is just not there. I mean come on $500 for 2nd thru 10th if your lucky you got the truck but in all seriousness all true tournament anglers know that its gonna cost more than $500 to prefish and fish two different fisheries. I myself will not support future pro its just tooo SHADY!!

Its funny how people whine about 500 bucks for 2nd thru 3rd and 300 for 11 thru 20th, when I have fished other TOC and if you dont pay options money your just fishing for the boat, you could get second and get nothing in other TOC, FPT is offering a truck, boat, a trip, money and battery chargers, cocoon glasses and depth finders, please show me a nother circutt that has a TOC with that many prizes.

Not sure on the exact numbers but it might be around $1,400 to FPT from entry fee's after payouts. Now add paying his 6 staff members and hotel rooms for them and tell me how much Vince put into his pocket???? Rooms were about $80 A night. So $960 for rooms not includeing Vince. So that leaves what $440 to pay staff for the event OOOOOHHHYAAA VINCE is becomeing RICH$$$$$$$

Just want to touch on a few points.
1) if you dont like the payouts then step up to the pro teams where you can win $3000+ in a 30 boat field.

2) it is not uncommon for TOC host hotels to comp rooms to staff, and this actually takes place during the season also

3) if you think there is a tournament org that is not trying to make a profit then you are .....(maybe CBC is not after money)

4) there is a ton of expenses to run a circuit

that said if you dont like the way one org is doing things then you have a choice, there are plenty of others(pick one or a couple) it kills me when I hear folks fishing a rookie league complaining about payouts.

I can not believe it. If you do not like a circuit than simply go else where and fish it is that simple. Do not come on here and start bad mouthing a circuit because you think it should be run different. The FPT must be doing something right because no one draws as many teams as the FPT does. Vince is a great marketer, has great sponsers. Where can you fish a Amatuer or other circuit and compete for a Boat 1st place, chance at Toyota Tundra truck for 2 thru 10th trip to El Solta 11 thru 20th. All other circuits only offer a Boat for 1st place and tropthes for 2nd 3rd etc along with product. Remember this was the TOC. This was a great venue at Weber Point Complex, great facilities for the award dinner, and trophy presenting. It was fair for all, every one knew what they were fishing for. there was 95 possible teams, and there was 92 that decided to compete. not to shaby in my opinion. 1st place got the boat, 2nd got to pick ist for the winning envelope for the truck, 3rd picked next and so on. There was a 90.00 fee, that came back as cash if you did not win the Boat, car or trip. and to defer some of the expenses. And I did not win anything but had a great time. Well done Vince I for one look forward to next year. And all of you negative guys I hope you enjoy your self fishing else where.

Don and I thought this was one of the best TOC diner's ever. A lot of thought and hard work went into the whole tournament. The rain was a little much, but if I had only been in the hospital for 72 days, maybe we would have been there until the fat lady sang. Sorry and congratulations to all that had the opportunity to fish this great event. GREAT JOB to one and all. Don and Bev

Is it possible you've been sipping your own kool aid for too long, Brian?

Just to add some perspective to your posts, why not recount the story of your final tournament with the Future Pro Tour? Maybe that'd give readers an idea as to what makes you attack just about any post that comes in about the FPT.

Keep in mind that some of us, including me, were there when you fished your last FPT tournament. You've had a public axe to grind ever since. Of course the full re-telling of that story might not cast a very pleasant view upon yourself so I doubt we'll hear about it.

But, fair is fair, you've gotten in your two cents on the FPT for a long time. Maybe you should move on to whatever else is you've got to post about and just decide that the stuff about the FPT no longer applies to you.

Just a suggestion,

sTony

You mean the story about getting fked out of money that was owed? And him setting oil infront of my truck tire and it getting ran over?

Yea, I've told that story in here before but that thread was deleted. Dont doubt me tony, I have nothing to hide. Lets talk about how YOU used to bad mouth fpt untill they became a sponser. There is still a thread in here that you said you wouldnt touch one of his tournaments with a "10' Pole". but I'm sure it will be deleted now.

Brian,

Everyone knows exactly where you stand on the FPT. So why, years later, do you keep making the negative posts in the forum about them. It only reflects upon yourself.

As to what happened at Brannan Island; oil wasn't placed in front of your tire. You lost your cool so badly you swerved out of the drive by weigh in line and ran over a display of oil that was being given away to the contestants. And you did it squealing out your tires and driving like a mad man through the traffic of a 176 boat field in the parking lot. All because the check in boat reported you were late. No one else had a problem with the check in during that event. One other team was summarily kicked out of the FPT during that event also for weighing in a fish they didn't catch.

I remember it pretty well cause I got oil on me from nearly thirty feet away.

As for me and Vince, we've known each other for thirty years. We've have our differences and have worked them out. The FPT is not currently a sponsor of the website. They have been off and on for many years. Any former posts are still very much there in the archives of this forum. Whatever differences we have had over the years, I've not continued to hammer on them as it's not respectful to the people that do choose to fish the FPT. And it wouldn't be appropriate for me to make any negative comments while working for the WRL and Randy. Vince puts on his show and I'm respectful of him and his customers and of Randy not to try dissuade anyone from fishing in either.

You, on the other hand, just have an old rusty axe to grind. People are well aware of your feelings about the FPT. So when are you going to man up and move on?

All i know is you came flying out of there at the highest speed you could attain and didn't really care what you ran over or who you might have hit in the process. It was wildly out of control, I wasn't the only one that witnesses it. Thankfully, I've gotten over it and suggest you do the same.

PS - I never sent you a bill for the oil that ruined my clothes, either.

hey Brigham, interesting take.

I still think you fish to win, though. Even if you have zero confidence from your practice, you still fish to win. I'd rather get one of those $300 to $500 dollar checks than nothing.
