Pat is doing well. He had a 7 hour operation today. The doc says they got 99% of it out today. Pat still will have to do Chemo and maybe radiation but things look really good. Cancer was in his throat and down into his lungs. He is expected to stay in the hospital for 5 days, I'm taking bets he's out early. I'll keep up on him and post here. Thanks guys!!

You hear about good guys in our sport, you hear about the pioneers, the guys that taught so many how to tournament fish, the guys that taught others how the game should be played.....that guy is Pat Donoho. I have learned alot from Pat and have been lucky enough to share many dinners with him. I wish you a speedy recovery Donoho!!!

They don't make guys as tough as Pat very often.....he will be back on the water in no time!

I drew Pat at Don Pedro in a WON Bass event in Feb. He schooled me on the 1 ton jig. Great guy and smiling all day. Go get well Pat so you can get back out there.

I just talked to Pat he is getting tired of the Hospital food. He just talked to the Dr. he will have to be in the Hospital 2 or 3 more days. He has to wait until the drainage stops. They want to make sure that his lungs do not have a lot of moister in them he sounds great. Vern

Talked with Pat early this morning. He got one of the tubes out. He is doing well. We talked mostly fishing, he already making plans for tournaments.

Talked to Pat he got home yesterday. He is already out and about. All he knows for sure is that he has to go back in two weeks. He is doing great. He went outy to lunch today he said he needed a non hospital meal. Vern

The Doc can say stay home and take it easy all he wants.............ain't going to happen Pat is on the mend. Still some bumps in the road but doing well.

drinking plenty of home made soup. it is easier to drink soup than to try and eat solids. when the throat feels better, then you can try some solids. there are plenty of nutrients in home made soups.

WOW!! 4 times that's AWESOME. Goes to show how far they have come on cancer treatments.....but I'm betting you had a great attitude as well. Positive attitude and a fighter goes a long ways with cancer. Hopefully one day we will see a dang shot or a pill and no one has to go through this.
