FLW Everstart in the West

Guys I just talked with Ron Lappin for about 45 minutes. I had many questions for him, many about past issues. Ron will be our tournament director and his wife Joan will be a big part as well. FLW has worked on past issues and hopefully things work for 99% of us. There is always that one "oddball" :D Ron is very positive and DIRECT!! Frankly, I like the guy. He has many friends that are close friends of mine and they really support him. FLW will be our largest circuit this year. We need a strong Pro-Am circuit as well but that's a different, building block, deal right now.

I just signed up and I am #119 confirmed. They are picking up 3-5 boats a day. We will have a very good field for Shasta. Many of you guys have not met Ron Lappin. Please introduce yourself and give him a chance. He will be a straight forward, no favoritism, consistant director. Which as we'll all agree is the right way to do it. Give Ron a chance and I think you will find him to be western "positive".

Just my 2 cents!!

Ron came out and ran one of the Stren Series events at Oroville a couple of years ago and did a great job and was very fair in the way he did things. Fishing should be pretty good at Shasta in a few weeks and you should be able to catch them several different ways. I am looking forward to fishing the event and being on Shasta for a few days.

I think if we can kick off this first event with a full field the rest will follow. Shasta should be fun!!

Hope to see some of you guys up there

Rumor has it that Roosevelt is close to filling, so if you want to fish them all and earn a berth to the Evertstart Championship on Kentucky Lake in October, you better get in ASAP.

Gary - I hope you come down and bring your entourage with you!

See you all at Shasta.

Kyle quit his job to go back to college to get his degree. Wants to be a Professional Fisherman. If thats your goal, you need the skills to market yourself. Kid is ready for the bigs anyway. He has never seen the lake, but will love the challenge for sure. Rick G.

Fishing is great (numbers wise) and it will be a fun event. If you are on the fence, this is one of the best spotted (in terms of numbers) bass lakes in the country.

Nope, I figured you could take a jab though. Glad you're selling some boats. Great news.

Great to here some positive tournament comments, and the west coast pro circuits are in need of it. I'm looking forward to meeting the new T.D., hopefully this will be the start of a great year for West Coast FLW. Lots of fish at Shasta this time of year and it should bring the anglers out of the woodwork. Best of luck to all anglers and lets support a strong west coast circuit.

I have personally talked and worked with Ron over the last couple of years on multiple occasions. He is a GREAT guy and very straight. Support Ron and FLW, they are making a real good run at west again and we need them!!

I will see you all at Roosevelt...no vacation to do this one.
