I got a quote from Boat Masters of around 4 bills. Thats the price of materials and labor.

BoatMasters charged me $400. Said it took a bit of extra labor to run the cable by my gas tank that is mounted under the seat (BassCat Pantera).

You are getting ripped off.!!! Call lyle Gosset is my suggestion. He did mine for a lot less than that.

That's what I fingered out. They wont be doing it if I decide to do one. I may just do it myself. I have all the tools to do it plus enough to rebuild an entire car/truck, motors so on and so fourth. Just did all my brakes shocks and plugs so I can safley drive down to San Diego to get my new boat

Yeah, I realized the price was steep considering what I could buy the HF for online. But I had just bought the boat and it was my first so I really didn't want to F something up. I've got plenty of experience working on cars but I'd never messed with a boat before.

Since then I've been doing other upgrades to the boat myself. Can't afford to have someone else do the work if it will cost what BM's charged me.

the cost might be up because if you dont have long enough throttle cable, you will to buy longer one. they will also have to disassemble the shifter control to disconnect the throttle cable from it.
