Has anyone having problems with any lucky craft lures.I have purchased six of them three of the live pointer and three of the
and three of the flash minnow.all three of the flash minnows the middle split ring becomes bent then you will lose the treble hooks.two of the jounted live pointers broke in half after catching about maybe 10 fish.mind you it's not like they are huge fish either.
it just seems to me a fifteen doller lure why should i have to change split ring's on it.

I've never seen anything let go on a Lucky Craft bait and I've never seen anyone catch a fish on the Live Pointer ...Really there stuff is super high quality I own a couple o' billion dollars worth of there stuff and have not ever had a bait loose my fish because of what I'd term as a mechanical failure not the usual operator error. It's not like it's a Smithwick Rouge or something with the cheesy split rings and hooks...Seriously strange anomaly you've got there.

IMO live pointers sucks they dont suspend very well and dont have great action The hooks occasionally breat if your catching alot of fish and using pliers to remove them other than that there great I probably have 200 of em

Does Lucky Craft make a great hard bait? No, They make a good hard bait, Does Lucky Crafts catch a lot of fish? Yes, But so does Smithwick,Rapala, and Yozuri to name a few, Does Lucky Craft charge us more than double the price of most other hard baits? Yes, Are they worth it? You tell me!

NO!! Its not at all. Now senkos work very well. but I have still caught more big fish on a hog! at 3.99 a pack and my big Crank fish came on rapala. I have caught numbers on lucky craft but not the big uns. I would rather buy one hudleston then two lucky craft.

You cant compare a crank to a swimbait! If LC ever makes a soft trout swimbait I am sure it will kick ***! I am waiting!

Tobe asked "are they worth it? you tell me". I was talking worth. Cost comparing not Bait comparing. Again, is lucky craft worth 15 a pop? NO! Maybe I don't chose my words right but who cares. lol. OMG if Lucky Craft makes a trout swimbait what will it cost? I am sure they will think they make the best around so it will be high cost. I am saying they are Not worth it. Now lets compare..... There is a Rapala or Bomber or Norman, Poe, Mans, Strike Pro, etc. These baits will and can match any lucky craft crank bait at catching at almost a 3rd of the cost. They have NOT proved that they out do the others to be WORTH the cost of them. I had a bunch of LC's go bad from heat before, I never had it happen before with other cranks. I too had hooks break also on them. That's just from my experiences. If there is high cost with ANY bait I will use it but it should be able to out do the others at a lesser cost. all I can say is... Thank GOD for our Rapalas. LOL!

I think so. Do I wish they cost less ?, yes of course, but they work. Do other brand baits work, of course they do. It's really a matter of confidence in the bait, individual preference, shelf appeal (do I like how the bait looks and wanna buy it), and ability to catch fish. I have stuck so many fish on LC pointers and staycees. I've gotten tropies and checks cuz of em. I even have more than one of the same bait in my most favorite colors. I do replace the hooks very frequently because they bend easilly (usually when I'm using pliers to unhook them from a fish), and the hook points burr over sometimes when I hit rock, but I think those extremely sharp fine wire hooks are a huge reason why they stick fish so well, so, it's worth it to me to carry replacement hooks and switch out for tourney day. I think they make a good product, I have tremendous confidence in the baits they sell that I do buy (no, I don't use their entire line, just some), and so for me, yes, they are worth the price. Walking away with a 3rd place check on Clearlake because I bought an extra 15 dollar LC staycee....hmmm.....I'd say it was worth it !!! Another thing...while I have about a dozen staycees in a couple of colors, I predominately use ghost and clown. That being said, I have a couple ghost staycees that have caught so many fish that the paint is completely gone around each of the treble hooks. If I count number of fish (can't, lost count ages ago) to the 15 bucks....well, we're talking less than a penny a fish. Bottom line, I'm willing to pay the price cuz I like the bait and it works for me. Other guys say no way to the cost and likely stick just as many fish with a rip bait they like just as well.

Don your totally wrong! Anyhow LC's should be cheaper I have not paied more than 8.00 for one I bought them all off ebay! I have sat at clear lake w/ a staysee and watched 10 others throw deep husky jerks y I was catching a ton of fish they were catching none w/ the same tecnique. Anyhow I choose to belive they are much better than most of teh other cheap baits out there. And would buy them even if I couldnt get them cheaper off ebay.

PS if they made a soft swimbait I am sure they would use that 3x plastic so you could catch 100's of fish on it. Thats what Ken should do. I bet it would cost around 50.00.

I have about 25 or so Staysee's a bunch of different colors, mostly use them at clear lake. I have went from Black/Gold - Nikishi - Ayu never saw any sort of preference in color they all worked as good as the other. I think it is just the action that gets them. I know I have about 10 which have had the hooks replaced many times and have no paint left on them but they still catch fish just as good as the rest of them. I am pretty convinsed that LC has developed great action and sound for so many of there baits (especially the weight transfer systems) I have used almost all of the LC line and have quite a few of each model and have yet to be unpleased w/ any of there lures or colors.

Don I would like to see you cast a husky jerk half as far as me and Mark will cast a pointer. There is alot of stuff that goes into LC lures taht you cant see w/ your eye that make it worth 15.00 and mabey even more.

I've had a live pointer break in the middle. There seems to be a metal cable in the middle that holds the lure together. When the lure first came out about two years ago, I had a good hit, went to set the hook, and the rear end came off.

Don I am not trying to put you down just point out the factors that make LC's so good.

is that you are both right and you are both wrong..Confidence makes all the difference in the world..Just because you are confident in using a particular bait doe not mean every one else is..Give me my Bombers and I will kick both of your ............

Point well taken...one I tried to include in my post and guess I didn't do so well. My point was that the LC staycees seem to have something about them that is very effective on fish, they have super sharp hooks, are made well, and in the end I think their worth the price....pretty much about all I had to say about it. I agree 2000 percent though on your statement. Confidence plays a huge part in it. If you throw a certain bait allot, like it, and catch fish on it, then why change ?? Another thing....it's not just what the lure is and what you paid for it, it's also HOW you work the bait, cadence, style (I think they call it "presentation"). We all have our little quirks how we work a bait, and the various jerks baits have different actions....esp when you introduce the human element, how an individual angler works the bait. So.....anyone can kick anyone's butt on a given day with any lure if their presentation with their favored bait is what the fish want !!! And oh yeah, bombers...all I gotta say is "Oh Yeah"....

It is all about confidence and they flat out catch fish. Now with that said I have used many of their crankbaits in the past but I just don't use them anymore. I never did well on them. Come tourney time it is normans and excalibur fat free shad for me. As far as a shallow crank I can't put down my rattle trap. It just works for me. Like many have said it is all about confidence
