This is terrible news.I drive over antioch bridge every day and have been watching the dredging goin on,I was thinking the just the other day they should have the tailings pipe marked a little better, from the bridge you could see areas where it was just under the surface..my prayers go out to the moreno family.

I heard the news from a mutual friend and Mike is home recovering and his son is in the hospital and should make a full recovery. Mike and his son both had multiple injuries, but his son will need physical therapy to regain use of his hand. Keep your thoughts and prayers with them on the long road to recovery.

EDIT: Sorry after reading more Mike may not be home. I was told he was, and spoke to him briefly on his cell, but did not confirm if he was in fact at home or hospital. Don't want any wrong info going around just trying to keep people updated.

This was a text message sent to me from Mikes wife Deanna

They were able to save Jareds hand. He has a long road ahead of him. Mike is doing ok they got him up to walk with assist. His leg is bothering him , Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. The Moreno family

Well got a text from Mike, he is very thankful and grateful fir all the prayers, calls and text messages of support that they have received! It has helped them to get thru this trying time in there lives. He is still in the hospital as Jim mentioned and is hopeful to maybe go home home tomorrow. Not sure when his son Jared will be released. Please keep praying and know that they are appreciated.

I would have to agree that the company dredging is liable here. I could not see how they could not be liable if there were no warning markers.
