For those of you that remember Sonny and Sharon from the old Redman Trail, I got a call from Sharon, and she wanted me to share this, Sonny had a Tumor removed and is not doing real well. They didn't give him a time frame but it doesn't sound good.

Thanks Gene for the post,
Loved Sonny and his sweet wife Sharon, Sonny handed me the keys to the 1st Ranger Boat I won. Always enjoyed fishing Sonny's events, he was a great asset to Operation Bass. If you speak to Sharon again please tell her my wife and I are so sorry to hear about Sonny, and best wishes for them.
Thanks again Gene,
Mike Goodwin

Well that just sucks. Sonny is one of the good guys from WAY back. He always ran a fair and square tournament back in the good ol' Redman days.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, bud.

Sorry I'm posting this late but Sonny passed away last week.
He's going to be missed.

I heard this on Friday. Such a sad thing to hear. Sonny was a great tournament director out here in the west. He ran Red Man for many years and had such a loyal following here. I myself loved the way he ran a tournament and knew every angler on a first name basis. He and his wife Sharon would fly out for every event and made sure every angler was welcomed by him personally. He will be missed by many. God bless him and his family.

Sorry to hear this.
Sonny was one of those guys that you just had to like!
I remember a real tough day in crappy weather on Clearlake, where I brought 1 fish to the scales.
Sonny had me laughing by the time I walked back to the boat!
Great guy that is missed!
