Coors Light joins Future Pro Tour's group of premier sponsors

Sacramento Ca. –The Future Pro Tour’s 10th year anniversary season is now firmly in the books. And though this milestone achievement has passed into the annals of history following an exciting downtown Sacramento River Classic championship, the 2013 Thunder Valley Outdoors/Future Pro Tour still stands ready to deliver to the west’s growing legion of amateur-level anglers, yet another season of fun, excitement, dependable quality, and value.

But even after ten years, which closed out with that historical downtown Sacramento Classic championship event, some may be wondering if it is at all possible for this all-amateur bass fishing tour to bring anything new to the table.

Well, stop wondering, and focus on what your eyes will see, as the Future Pro Tour has more fun and excitement planned than ever for the anglers participating in the upcoming 2013 season.

Reigning Thunder Valley Outdoors/FPT champions Robert Thornton and Ryan Habernicht rightly deserve to bask in the glory brought about by their dominating performance in the 2012 FPT Classic Championship, and anyone that knows this dynamic duo, will quickly tell you that they put in hours of hard work over the 2012 season that paid big dividends - when it counted, helping them to secure the coveted 2012 FPT Championship crown.

But that was then and this is now.

When the 2013 season begins anew in Feb/March, all standings and statistics will be reset to zero, and every angler will stand on “level ground” in the race to claim the most prestigious title in amateur bass fishing. And for those that simply want to build their bass fishing skills in a fun yet competitive environment, you can best believe that there will be something for everyone as we embark on the new season.

Thunder Valley Casino/Resort the Future Pro Tour’s title sponsor, will continue to be the driving force that allows FPT competitors to enjoy affordable $90 entry fees, along with reduced membership fees that ensure various event costs are covered – as there is NEVER an additional insurance or permit fee charged by FPT.

Payouts are also designed to guarantee that the last check at any FPT event will pay a team more than double their basic entry fee back ($200 dollars).

Ranger Boats/Evinrude Outboards – the absolute standard in quality bass boat packages will be back for 2013 delivering a fully-rigged Z118 Ranger/Evinrude E-Tec 150hp outboard to our 2013 Classic champions giving them the opportunity to own a boat that is “Still built one at a Time”, and powered by an outboard designed to help anglers “Spend more time on the water”.

This package will also come with the “workhorse” Humminbird Fortrex trolling motor, and a Humminbird Fish Finder – all expertly rigged by one of the west’s 5-star Ranger dealerships.

Image”Cold as Ice” Silver Bullet - Angler of the Year Award

Ask any FPT Angler of the Year team what it took to win their title and most will tell you that one of the keys was remaining “cold as ice” and not let the pressure get to them.

For 2013, Coors Light, will join the Future Pro Tour’s group of elite sponsors and will present the 2013 FPT Anglers of the Year with the first-ever Coors Light “Cold as Ice” Silver Bullet AOY Award that brings with it a cash award of $500 dollars and the inaugural custom Coors Light Silver Bullet trophy!

Coors Light, known as the “world’s coldest and most refreshing beer” will be a welcome addition to the FPT’s group of premier sponsors, and the Future Pro Tour organization is proud to leverage that support to the benefit our members.

“Up and Comers” – Rookie of the Year division

If you’re just getting started with tournament angling, our “Up and Coming” division will be back as it allows for those anglers that have just started participating in tournaments to compete against the regular field of anglers while at the same time measure their talents - and get extra cash rewards, for their performance against anglers at their same experience level – at no additional cost! (Full details regarding this division are in the Rules section of the FPT website http://www.futureprotour.net)

2013 Future Pro Tour Classic moves to Clear Lake - spring of 2014!

If you know anything about Clear Lake you know that early spring simply means monster bass.
To this end the 2013 Future Pro Tour Classic will be held in March of 2014, giving ONLY 75 teams, the opportunity rest up after a long season, and then in the early spring gear up for a “slugfest” extraordinaire on Clear Lake for the FPT Classic crown and a new Ranger/Evinrude Package.

Never forget…In the 2007 Vanity Cup on Clear Lake..Mark Crutcher set a record that still holds today…10 fish for 75 pounds!

Opening season - fast approaching

Opening season is right around the corner starting with the central valley kick-off on Lake McClure Feb 17th, and Clear Lake on March 9th for the northern region.

Your best opportunity to catch all the action – and save money is now as the FPT is offering for a limited time these special offers:

• 2 for 1 memberships! You pay and your partner goes free (or vice versa) giving you an instant
savings of $45 dollars!
• Pay your entry before Feb 1st and we pay your big fish option for the first event!
• Pay for all events before Feb 1st and receive one entry free (ie..pay for 5..get one free)!

So get ready as we prepare for another fun and exciting season of Future Pro Tour competition!

We can’t promise that you will catch fish, but we can guarantee that you will meet great people, improve on your bass fishing skills, and have a ton of fun in the process!

Don’t forget …to visit us at the 2013 ISE Sportsman’s Expo in January, where several of the west’s top pro anglers and tour sponsors will be at our booth, to meet, greet, and share valuable tips on how to catch fish for the upcoming season.

See you all in 2013!
