just wanted to know what people like the best powell, irod, or dobyns?

Not even close. Do yourself a favor and go to a local shop that carries all three and feel them. They are all nice rods but one will stand out on "feel".

I definitely prefer Dobyns. Like posted above, put them in your hands & you'll see why.

If you aren't worried on cost try out the Air Series irod. that thing is incredible. Sensitive and strong. They take abuse and keep fishing. These are all solid rods, but its to each their own. I'm not an irod sponsored dude either, I just know a phenomenal rod when I fish them. Even the Gen 2 Irods are amazing rods.

IRODS!! In my opinion are the best for the price and Matt Newman takes care of his customers!! I agree that you should go put one in your hand and I will bet you will love the IROD......especially the Air series!!

I own both and have no problem with either although they are two completly different rod designs far as "I" am concerned . The 754 air I Rod is the most versatile rod I have ever owned , from jigs to frogs it just seems to fit whatever bait I tie on . The 743 champion extreme is awesome for squarebill cranks and jerkbaits and the micro savy flipping stick is pretty sweet also . I do not receive free rods from either Matt nor Gary , I fish these rods because I like them although I did get a sticker from Newie ..........
