Do you think they're sending water down the Aqueduct again?

and Casitas with all the inches received last night and today has not a drop going in. even with 4" last week and another 4-6" tonight still soaking up.

That is weird! My friend lives in Santa Paula, and he said they had a huge amount of rain.
I wonder if it's being held upstream, now that they cleaned out the catch basin behind the upstream dam. I can't believe the ground could soak up all that rain in that short amount of time.
But, then again, what do I know? Hahaha

who knows man... maybe they are holding it upstream. it's a travesty for sure.

Hold it where? There isn't another dam/ lake up stream from Casitas, it's all run off from the surrounding watershed!

What about Matilija?

Matiljia creek drains into Casitas, I don't believe Matilija dam is allowed to hold back water anymore due to the steelhead issues and it's a small lake. Coyote and Matilija creeks are the 2 main watershed sources for Casitas.
Maybe they are running water through the Casitas dam fish ladder for the phantom steelhead run!

Casitas has failed to rise due to the estimate that it will take over 10 inches of rain( like 10 inches in one big event) to saturate the ground enough to allow significant runoff.( although I think the trust funders in Santa Barbara are stealing our water at night and trucking it to Gibralter Lake ). However, if it keeps raining 2 inches at a time, after about 20 more storms, we'll get some water flowin' too!

So how do they keep the water from flowing downstream into Casitas?
Is there a pipe and pump system connecting Casitas and Gibralter, or some kind of water transfer system?

Update: Castaic has come up 9.8' in four days, including 3.8' from Friday to Saturday.

I read up on the link, and it says the Robles/Casitas system is just for Ventura. It doesn't say anything about sending water to Gibralter.
If they are trucking water to Gibralter, it must just be for agriculture, because none of it makes it to Cachuma, at least not right now.
Are they selling the water to Gibralter?

Gilbrailter is upstream from Cachuma on the Santa Ynez river, no connection to Ventura river system, or Feather river water, Dave was pulling your chain....

PS, DFW only stock 1/4 lb trout now, at least the are stocking them in Casitas soon.

That's what I thought. He must have an awfully long arm! Hahaha

Small trout like that will fatten up the smaller bass in a hurry.
