What's going on at havasu

Now that the Lucas oil tournament is over, I'm hoping some buddies will share some info. I'm planning going to havasu next week. I have heard the smallies and LMB are not on beds. Just a small %. Heard that there is a better bite up river?? Is the water up? I'm hoping some will share some info to make my trip fun... THANKS

Even with that 1 over there is still tournaments every weekend. I can tell you that the river is not wide open. Unless it came on this week. You can catch fish you just have to work at it. Beds are totally hit and miss.

Drop shot, jigs, senko, flukes, etc. Fish slow and you will be fine. If breezy, reaction baits; small swimbait, chatterbait, jerkbait, etc. Fishing isn't easy, but it's good. If you have to bed fish, only stick bigger fish. Take a pic and let them go. Enjoy the fish on beds. Let them swim away with your bait but you don't need to swing.
