Can anyone who has replaced a older, 03 Minn Kota Maxxum 101,45 shaft, with a 2013 Minn Kota Fortex 101 tell me if the bolt up pattern is the same or I'm I going to have to drill new holes. I hoping there the same,I hate drilling into something that floats on water. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve

The Fortrex has two sets of holes one narrow set which is in between the frame and a second set of two behind the left cover. The second set is usually the set you will use.
The Hook has the Fortrex units in stock we also install them. If you need any help feel free to call me at 925-625-2441.

Thanks
Gene

I had to remove the side plate on the Fortrex to get to the holes that matched the existing set.
It was easy to do that, and to install the Fortrex. Great TM.

Thanks to all who responded,I cant wait to put it on. After 12yrs my old Max 101 still runs strong, Ive never had a issue with it. Hopefully some one will give it a good home,so if any one is looking for a dependable motor at a good price it will be for sale in a couple of weeks. Again thanks too all . Steve B
