Should I trade my bass boat for a kayak now? Or wait till it’s only worth a pack of gum?

I'm wondering the same thing. Might have to move out of state. I plan on getting a jet boat for the rivers and the hell with the lakes, crowds, wardens, FFS, fees, etc.
