This subject has been brought up in the past. You guys are 100% correct. WAY TOO MANY DEALERS ON THIS SITE! There should be a separate section for dealers only.

They should make one post with all of their deals. Not spam the **** out of the classifieds

OR, at the very least, REQUIRE prices on EVERY AD !!! Should be on any ad anyway.

Dealers never post pricing because they are all the same. Just like some rods and reels can't be sold for anymore or less, boats are the same way. And the dealers are not allowed to advertise the price either on most Bass Boats that is.

Believe it....there needs to be a "DEALER SECTION ONLY" so much dealer clutter.......kick em out and give them their own section to compete in.

Tell you what , I have more respect for the dealers that stop posting on here. To post now just means that you either can't read or don't care what westernbass members are asking

They're still posting here no matter what we say.
They should pay for their advertising.

There are 4 dealers that post on the classified section weekly. At one point, I sum up over $400k in boats from one retailer.

Retailers pay Western Bass monthly to have links to their web sites.
It's not cheap...
Scan left of the classified ads to see their links.

I've sent Western Bass several ideals on how to improve the boat classified that works for private and retail.

-No response from Western Bass.

Hey Popper that's probably exactly why they haven't gotten back to you yet because they are paying them good $$$$$$$ or who knows maybe even gave them a boat.

But either way it's not rocket science don't see why they can't have 2 sections

Boats for sale by dealer

Boats for sale by owner

Now is that really hard........

-Your asking the wrong person NRX.

As indicated above, I've provide several options to WB.
Those suggestions will keep paid $$$ supporters of the forum happy while maintaining a
Free classified section for private ads.

-Don't be surprised if you see the boat classified ad section change to
A paid boat ad for all.
Not one of my suggestions, but if you shop around other sites it's common.

Therefore, you really cannot complain as the classified section is free.

At the very least if they remain on here make one post withouth a link to their site that one could open to see their boats they are advertising instead of 8 or 10 boats in a row pushing everyone's ad to the bottom.

they way the dealers bombard you with there ads makes it next to impossible for the regular Joe to post his boat here. I think some of them purposely flood the board to bury others post.

This is an issue WB should address, but remember the classified section free.
Unless private ads are paid Ads there's not much that can be accomplished.
Outside of suggestions to WB that I've tried to convey through email.

I sold my boat through WB classified and clearly see the frustration.
Despite the overwhelming Dealer ads my ad still obtain over 4000 hits in 2 months.

Here we go again. Boat Dealers pay to advertise "members" do not. WB doesn't listen to "members" blah blah blah. Maybe WB should have a monthly membership fee of $10.00 per month and you guys can make your own rules. Until then, enjoy the free ride and stop crying.

If it weren't for us ppl.. there wouldn't be dealerships. Tnguyen needs to chill out and get that du ma stick out of his ***. Last i heard we have the freedom of speech. You must not have a life and all you do is go on wb and side with "the money". Sound like a dicK-tator. Rmbr who pays the dealerships!!

That makes a lot of sense. And without boat dealerships we would all be swimming and spearing fish. I'm gonna contact You Tube next. I'm tired of all the ads and commercials while I watch the free videos.

They do pay for their advertising, that's why they can post the way they'd like.

I agree with Mike, I think the best way to do this would be each dealership making one post of their "boats for sale". An example would be the way that Angler's Marine has done it in the past.

I can understand from the dealer's side that they want to list individual boats. In the grand scheme of things it's not THAT bad to have to scroll down through them.

Just post your own private boat for sale 30 times on top of theirs to push them down lol. Then yours will be at the top and you don't have to scroll through theirs.
