Wondering what it's worth... Yamaha HPDI 250
Posted: Sun May 03, 2020 3:38 pm
2006 Yamaha HPDI 250 (not series 2) - 20" shaft - comes with controls/gauges, oil container, prop (T1-25) and engine cover (non-vented)
Compression from 110-115
Current hours - 670 (Updated)
Owned since 2007 and always serviced on time. Lower unit was replaced in 2007 from hitting wood.. new lower and no issues with it since.
Has new:
* LP fuel pumps - last year
* Steering seals - last year
* Trim rods, seals, steering bushings (something like 9 or 12) all replaced 2 yrs ago
* Cylinder 1 and 2 rebuild in 2016 with Wisco pistons. (lean condition from injector in #1 - had #2 worked at same time.
* cleaned/rebuilt injectors 2016 during cylinder work.
* 1 new injector in #2 in 2017 (updated)
* T1 - 25 SS prop - worked in 2019 (not polished)
I'll have to dig up invoices, but I feel like I've had some other stuff done as well.. but lets go with given info for now.
All filters, including injector and 4 hidden filters in the HP fuel pumps were replaced in 2018 with last big service. Next service would be this December. Recommend to get injectors flow tested as one is running a little rich.
I only put on about 50 hrs per year so have been getting service done every other year (with no prior issues).
Normal wear in paint on skeg and few little scuffs here and there. Does have a small crack in top back of cowling, but does not impact operation at all.
Will have pics avail along with short video of compression test and idle/run test on the water that I will post to YouTube in the near future.. motor still on boat and will be pulled off around the end of this month once I secure purchase of new motor. Just wanting to get an idea of a selling price for everything.
Thanks,
Randy
