I want one. When can I expect it to be in my local fishing stores?

They should be in our warehouse early next month. Some dealers will have the rods quicker than others depending on when they ordered. I would think you should see them by the middle to end of next month.

I currently use a med. light 7' Falcon rod, and an MG 50, for throwing a small T rigged lizard with a 3/16oz Tungsten sinker, on 8lb test fluoro.
Casting this light rig with a baitcaster is what I am interested in, not a spinning setup.
The rod and reel combo are great for this, but the rod is a little soft on long hooksets.
Will there be a Cumara rod that can cast this lure rig, but with a little more power?

The CUCX711MH is the rod you'll want for the lipless cranks and Basstrix type baits. Yes they are over the counter warranty. The weights are on the website now under specifications:

what about a rod for the LuckyCraft RC 0.5-2.5s ripping through grass. Lipless ripping through grass. and the occasional swimbait? Basically I need to rip through grass. I like how you guys are addressing that issue.

What do you recommend the 50mg Core for? I love my 100mg Cores, but have a thing for the lightest I can go. I have the chronach 50mgs and really haven't had a line capacity issue but do you see it rearing its head? I use the 50mgs for my flipping, worms,some carolina rigs. I usually use fluoro on the reels. I try to keep the diameter line down.

Well the CUC77M is the rod I made for shallow cranks in heavy vegetation or heavy cover such as timber.

The CUCX711MH is a good lipless crank rod for grass and will handle the occasional swimbait, as long as its small or a hollow body type bait.

I like the Core 50MG for all my finess applications, rip baits, jigs/worms, chatterbaits and lipless cranks (lighter line). It pretty much will do anything you need it to do.

Awesome I don't plan on any big swimmies with it the 4inch and hollow bodies.



So basically those 2 will cover both? With the CU77M handle the lipless in grass?

I think the 77M should handle the lipless cranks as well. I personalyl did not use that rod for this presentation, but it certainly has enough backbone to do it.

Ok, so it can handle the rip through grass? I have a medium rod, not a cranking rod design like the crucial is and it doesnt rip very well.
Which is why Im so excited to see an offering from Shimano in cranking specific.

oh which one can swim jigs too? and what are the weighs of the regular cumara?

I was fishing the X711MH this weekend with a swimming jig. It worked well over the sparse cover I was fishing. I would probably go with the CUCX72MH for heavier cover, or thicker grass.

All the Cumara weights are now on our website under specifications.

ok cool,I just checked the page and the reaction series has the weights not the other ones.

Hmm...I know they are in the new catalog now. I'll see why they aren't up on the website.

Bantam....I looked at some Cumara rods and didn't see "Reaction" in the label. How can one quickly distinguish between the original lineup and the Reaction series? Do they have unique model numbers? I want a rod for DD-22 work.

There will be a big flashy hang tag on the new rods. They will begin shipping on 9/22 or so. The model I designed for the DD 22 is the CUC711MH. If you prefer a 7' rod then take a look at the CUC70H. The 7' model is more of a traditional feeling crankbait rod where the 7'11" model is a more powerful rod for heavy cover and long casts.

What other applications could this rod be used for?

I have only used it for deep cranks like DD22, Fat Free Shad, Manns 20+ etc; This is what I designed the rod for. I suppose you could use it for larger lipless cranks in light cover/open water, but everyone has a different opinion as to what a rod can be used for.

Fair enough. I don't even have any large lipless cranks (not counting swimbaits, and I've got a rod for them). Thanks, again.
