hey, thanks for the comment on my previous question. i have narrowed it down to a cumara. i am wanting to use it mainly for lighter soft plastics(drop shotting, senkos) and lighter jigs(1/4 oz range) and the lipless crankbaits. i am probably going to lean to a 7'2". what power would you go for and action. i know what fast and extra-fast mean but what is the difference in their applications? thanks in advance.

The bottom contact type rods have different actions when compared to the rods made for reaction baits, such as lipless cranks.

I would look at the Cumara CUCX72M for 1/4 ounce jigs, Senkos and heavier drop shot. It might be a little on the heavy side for drop shot with light line. I suppose you could rip lipless cranks with this rod, but it is on the fast side.
