I notice on my Chronarch 50MG's that some have 3 rectangular holes and some have 2 at the bottom of the reel. Anything significant?

The reels with the 3 drain holes have an upgraded frame design. This was more for the reels being used in saltwater. The freshwater reels did not really need an upgrade.
