Hi Bantam,

When can we expect the Curado 50 to hit the market?

I do not have an official ship date yet. I'll know more next week when everyone is back in the office. I would think August-October.

While these are indeed nice pic's, they still in no way do these products justice. After two long days walking the show, I still can't believe all of the new products released this year, especially from Shimano America.

Yes, I am a Shimano guy but in the 16 years I've been with them, I've never witnessed anything like this. I think all of you will definately be impressed.

As for Loomis, I used to have a pet saying for those things, but having seen NRX, I think the "dead fish" has come alive, and I am definately their newest convert!

Absolutely amazing fellas. FIVE BEST of SHOWS out of 7 categories entered I believe....not bad!

Congrats,

Dan

The NRX has to be seen in person to appreciate the rod. Just wait until you fish one. I'll see if I can sneak a couple up to Clear Lake for our trip.

Bantam -

Will NRX be available in other types of rods - say - oh I dunno - Salmon and Steelhead models?

I'm not sure when they will be done. I know there were a few prototypes floating around during testing. Maybe next year?

How does the Caenan compare to the Citica as far as quality and performance? Will the 7:1 gear set from the Curado 200E7 fit the 50?

I would say casting is close, but still not as good as the Citica E. The Caenan is about on par with the Curado 200B in the casting department. Cranking power is good, but still not as much as the Citica can offer.

The gears from the Cruado E will not work in the 50. The tooling and frame sizes are very different.
