I wish you a speedy recovery.
FWIW I have been there with several friends and family, and it is one of the best hospitals in world.

Jiggin, in my opinion you are going to the right place to cure you because Stanford is about as good as it gets. My wife trained there and it’s 1st class. Make sure you don’t forget to appreciate the nurses, bud. We’ll all be rooting for you.

Good luck man…. Sent you a PM but I’ll say it here as well….. Dr Visser is the BEST mechanic doing that type of work….. he did 3 separate operations on me …. Saved my life as far as I’m concerned. Good luck.

I have just my feeding tube left I'll keep it for two more months they took me to X-ray I did a leak down test and I passed no leakes from the surgery i started on some fluids water and apple juice it will increase today. I had both nose tube and chest tube right side removed and I'm feeling pretty good the doctors and there staff and the nurses and all there staff have been so nice to me this hole time. And all the family support that's been here around me this hole time it's been wonderful. Stanford medical center will always been in my heart forever. My wife is shock I've been so nice and not been grouchy to and body.

When I went through chemo over 20 years ago I learned the chemo nurses are the sweetest nurses ever. They would sit and talk with me for hours. Not a crab apple in the bunch.
Good luck in your recovery
