What kind of box or container do you find works best to store swimbaits in the boat?

Check out the 3731 Prolatch by Plano. It's one big deep box and holds several osprey's, Huds or any number of big swimbaits.B

Plano 3730, best swimbait box I've used.

Take one of the 3700 boxes that has no dividers, drill some small holes in one end ( four rows of three holes each), push some small paper clips up through the holes and bend them down, and you have a box that can hold 12 8" swimbaits, with space for some smaller ones lying on the bottom.

Correction. I use the 3731 box, the big one with no dividers.

I bought a Markey's Double Swimbait Box because I was too lazy to make my own. Maybe next time. Any of you use the $32-35 Columbia Custom boxes?

I just bought the Markey super double as well. With so many swim baits I need one now for my 8 inch and up baits and one for my line thru baits. If I can find the hardware I'll do it myself and save some $$, depending on the cost of the hardware and boxes

Keep your baits in the original case and throw them into the container.

Weather kills those baits....

After you use them put them back where they came from. It will save you from the white residue you get from those other boxes...

For your soft swimbaits like 8" Huds, you can make a good storage box from Lock & Lock brand 10" high x 6" square plastic storage container.
The lures hang from the line tie with clips spaced about 1 3/8 apart, suspended from the cover or rods attached to the side at the the top. Container holds 8 lures; 2 rolls of 4 and the tails are always straight if you keep the box upright.
Use the 8" tall x 6" square Lock & Lock for the 6" Huds.
