Older HDS-8 and Ultrex spotlock capatabilty

I have an older HDS-8 (circa 2014'ish) and am considring an Ultrex. Is the ultrex capatable with the older Lowrance products so I could utilize the spot lock feature on the ultrex?

MinnKota Ultrex and Humminbird electronics “talk” to each other.
Lowrance units to not link or “talk” to MinnKota products. You would have to purchased a Ghost trolling motor however your HDS8 would also need to be ungraded if you want them to link.
If you keep your HDS 8 and decided to purchase an Ultrex, you can get the IPilot model with the analog remote. “Spot lock” works whether your units are linked or not. It’s an independent feature of the trolling motor.
