Yet another broken transducer

In less than 2 years I've broken two Lowrance transducers. This is getting very frustrating and expensive. WTF? In my humble opinion this is a poor design to have something this long and unreinforced hanging off the back of the boat. The depthfinder is a Hook 9 TS purchased on 11/22/18 from Amazon, shipped directly from Lowrance for just under $1,000. Is this a warranty item or did I get taken? I've bought a lot of Lowrance products over the years and have been pretty loyal to the brand, this will likely be my last.
To whom should I address this issue?

It really looks like the mounting attachment is much too small for the length of the unit. That long a transducer has a lot of leverage against it. Seems like they could supply a triangular bracket and some silicone, to reinforce the unit once it's installed and adjusted.

Not sure if you have enough of a flat surface on your boat for one of these.

Also not sure which model transducer you have so ensure this fits before buying.
Good luck

looks like you ran over something and it popped up in back of your boat and hit it. You need one of these.
