Ultrex shaft slips througout the day

Anyone else have an issue with their Ultrex shaft sliding down during the day? The collar is tight as can be. Any solutions?

I have the same issue. I just thought it was because I have the 60 inch shaft. It also prevents it from locking back when it's fully extended.

Hope this makes sense without a picture. In the space between your trolling motor head and collar put a piece of garbage disposal hose held in place by a stainless clamp. Cut piece to fit perfectly and then slice hose down the side. Install hose over shaft and tighten clamp or clamps down. Motor will not move. I have had this on my trolling motor for 6 months. If you want a picture of mine let me know.

I believe TH Marine has an upgraded version that I bought that works great. Easily adjusts when you need to in shallow water or deep water with big waves.
