I have a gen3 hds12. It has been working fine for 4 years. Recently it has been not reading the depth when I
travel faster than 20 mph. Any Ideas or suggestions?
I have talked to lowrance but no help. I have also did a soft reset.

The 3 n 1 transducer won't read depth on pad. I had to plug in my shoot thru hull 2D transducer for in to read depth on pad.

I would recommend adding a HST WSBL to shoot thru the hull if you are in a fiberglass boat. The long structure scan transducers are not great at reading at high speed.

How do you recommend using both transducers?

The HST would plug into your blue sonar port and your structure scan transducer goes to the black structure port.

Easy Peasy!

Except they can't run at the same time on a gen 3 touch and it is not easy to switch back and forth.
