Thinking about installing a structure scan on my trolling motor and just wanted to maybe hear from the guys that have one. How does it work when your on the move in windy weather. When your on the motor constanly going from side to side. Is there any screen shots from a trolling motor.

I have had a Structure Scan unit on my trolling motor for a long time. It really works great. It will show any objects off to the side and while you're fishing you can just cast over to the structure object and see if anyone's home. If you turn the trolling motor to one side or the other the screen will show a blur of the image only during the movement. As soon as you slow the movement of the motor itself the image clears up instantly.

Wether you have a Structure Scan on the trolling motor or at the console I would like to tell everyone that I have found that if you adjust the Contrast from the default setting of 76 to 55 you will be able to see more detail.

On March 10th I was fishing an ABA team tournament at San Antonio Lake. I won the tournament because of my Structure Scan on my trolling motor. I wrote about this in my article on San Antonio Lake that will be published in the April issue of Westernbass.com Magazine, check it out in April.

Mr. fishcado, see if I had two transducers I would mount it on the trolling motor. Most of your time is spent on the front and the blur is only temporary. To late for me though I already drilled holes into the transom.

Small drill holes are easy to repair. I've filled them with silicone to move the LSS-1 ducer to the trolling motor then when I could afford the 2nd Structure Scan I put it on the transom in the old holes with silicone protecting the holes. Just a thought.
