I lose my bottom readings(depth and picture) when I get on plane it read ok up 15mph then I lose it.

might be due to water turbulence from prop wash. How far away is transducer from prop? The install guide asks for 3 feet I believe. It also states to mount to starboard, if standard rotation prop,to minimize prop wash.

I have it mounted on the drivers side about 3 feet away. Called lowrance today and they said I should try to lower the transducer a little lower
