Why I Have No Choice In the November Election

During the past several months I have participated in forwarding political emails. Emails addressing the various personalities /issues in the U.S. Presidential race. During this period of time I have received some Emails from long time friends, former co-workers, old class mates of the l950s, family members, and others I don’t even know, taking me to task for my role in the email traffic. Some charged I was blind, stupid, viscous, racist, illiterate and out of touch with reality. Perhaps, but my political beliefs didn’t just happen over-night or because I was had suddenly became enamored with any particular candidate. I was not and still am not. But, having said that, as a person who does participate in the election process, (and have for quite a few years), my support or lack of support for the present candidates was not, is not based upon the fact that I am a registered Republican. And I like many Republicans, Democrats; Independents have been in a quandary for a couple of years, as we didn’t really see anyone we could really get excited about.
A couple of years ago many of us thought that it would likely be a race between Rudy, Romney and maybe California’s Duncan Hunter who would have been my choice. . I didn’t think McCain would get too far. Perhaps it was wishful thinking, as I didn’t care that much for McCain In any case. With Romney, Rudy and the rest, I was lukewarm. But at that time, of the name’s being tossed around, (and this might surprise you), my choice would have been Joe Lieberman. – A reformed Democrat,
Then one name came up repeatedly as a possible Democratic nominee; Barack Obama. Someone told me “ hey watch this guy, he is another Jack Kennedy…â€
