WHY SHOULD GOVERNMENT HAVE TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY ?

Is it because we expect for some one else to provide us with something we dint earn in the first place why we are in the mess we are in ?

Med i cal, med i cad, S.S. Free Schools, Free lunch, Government Bail outs, Well fair for those who don't want to work, on and on an on.

Why don't we do it for our selfs, and rely on are own strength and faith in our selfs, in stead of expecting a hand out ?

We rely on Unions to provide us for what, so we can threaten strike ? if they don't pungel up to entitlement's,

Only time teachers strike is when kids are in school ?

Yes, lets go back to before Unions. Take those kids out of school and put them to work. To hell with the 40 hour work week, people can work at least 80 hours. Black Lung disease isn't as bad as those stupid workers say it is.

I will never stop wondering why after controlling the administration and both houses for four years the Republicans never did anything about abortion. Its written into their platform. Actually I do know. Because your Republican Politicians can't disagree with it morally in their personal lives. Probably many in their families have secretly had them, including some of their mistresses. Besides this they need it for a political football.

I agree that Unions have helped to change over the years, deplorable working conditions. But they never did find Jimmy Hoffa.
Plus Unions have pulled plenty of crap over the years too.

I have helped to feed and employee the homeless and un-employed So don't even go there.

I just think that it is un-fair that the children should be held hostage over union negotiations between teachers and the District. Plus I believe that the teachers union is getting way to big for its own britches. Look what happened to the carpenters union and developer's ! Now most carpenters are from south of the boarder and English is a second language !

The Repub's and Dem's have got it both F.U.B.A.R.D. But I am not going to waste a vote on a Lib or peace and freedom either. So I will vote my heart this time, not my head or necessarily my party

The question was why should government provide an opportunity? Not, the government should give me a job. You're getting off track. The bill of rights and a lot of other legislation tries to level the playing field and provide opportunity's for those cases of people who are held down do to different circumstances.

(applause) Good for you. I know many conservatives who have. My sister has raised 6 foster kids (that I can count) and adopted one. My conservative protestant brother who's a State Representative travels to Nicaragua once a year to put up a Catholic mission. (weird huh) There is charity given by both parties, its not exclusive.

However the question was about Medicare and Medical and welfare for people who don't want to work. I say we need a better health care system but I'd need to write great walls of text. to explain my views and no-one would read it.

I cannot understand why neither party is willing to tackle the problem of welfare abuse. Welfare is obviously needed. I know people who are not mentally capable of holding down a job. I'm glad you aren't one, but you know those people exist and rather than take the time to try to understand the less fortunate's situation its easier to throw them all in one big group and call them lazy.

I have no experience in this area, but how are you relating this to the Democrats?

No but when I saw how unbelievably the odds were stacked against me having a chance to achieve success I fought my a$$ off to try to level the field. I wish I was 24 again so I could keep fighting.

What did you expect them to do, it is not up to them. The abortion issue will be settled in the supreme court. If Roe v Wade is overturned it will make it an individual state issue. For the life of me, I cannot understand why this is even an election issue... except that it is a tool the democrats use to drive fear into the hearts of the weak minded masses.

Is that sort of like how the Bush/Republicans used the word "Terrorism" to strike fear in the hearts of every conservative, telling people to go out and buy plastic sheeting and duct tape to protect themselves. Or how about the terrormeter, green, yellow, red days? The last 8 years have been a hand puppet show for them, they played a great hand, got nearly everything they wanted, and truth be told some conservatives see the writting on the wall for themselves and their agenda.
