Water Temp: Lower 60's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I walked the bank from the north point of Miner's Cove to about a quarter mile into Cherry Cove. I fished from 3:00 PM until sunset and landed five fish (one 12-inch dink, and the rest were in the 2 to 4 pound range). The largest fish was 18 inches, and like the other keepers I caught, she was fat with eggs. All of the fish I caught were on their nests (I think) but hadn't spawned. I used a crawdad-colored shad rap, a 4 1/2 inch black curly-tailed worm, and a shad-patterned spinnerbait to catch my fish. Nice day fishing, but the skiers were a little annoying. Return your fish to their nesting sites.
City: CampbellTips: The fish didn't fight that hard. The water is still a bit cool. I don't have any lure suggestions, but I caught all of my fish while bumping my bait along the bottom with a steady, deliberate, slow to moderate retrieve.

Water Temp: 63
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Lookin to change the pace a little, I threw reaction baits while walking the shoreline today between 12pm-4pm. I did well, caught over 20 fish but not much size to speak of....largest was around 3 pounds. Not many boats on the water today "no jet skies" kind of a nice change. It seemed like the smaller fish were tucked in wind protected coves, most the larger fish I caught were on windy points.
City: San JoseTips: If its windy, take advantage of wind blown points, and mudlines. Take pictures....leave fish...

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Me and my girlfriend went to check out these new worms i got. so we ran up to calero for a little bit after work. We fished right next to the parking lot on the left side. On my first cast i ended up bringing back a 3 and a half pound bass. Minutes later my girl friend caught a 3 pounder we only fished for about 20min no longer and caught two Bass.
City: San JoseTips: The Bass were about 10-15 feet from shore. The New Worm We Were Using Was the "Walking Worm" and boy does it work!!!

Water Temp: 60ish?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the boat ramp and caught 15 fish best was 3# femal with a big belly. It was very windy and it made it hard to feel the bites but a magic worm did the trick and they wouldn't let it go helping me catch them. I moved to the calm side of the ramp and started throwing top water and the second cast produced a 2 pounder. The next cast in a calm pocket got destroyed by a 5# male. The fish was in a foot and a half and in front of a guy who had been fishing there for a long time with no bites. He was in shock, hehehe. Fun day.
City: Mountain ViewTips: I down sized my rig to light line and heavy weight to fish in the high wind. The bite was not easy pickens as it was the week before but they are still there. The water temp has come down from the receint front that moved threw and I was finding them way off shore as far as I could cast. 6" worms in light colors were the best. The 4" worms just didn't get the bites for some reason.

Water Temp: 55-60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Friday and Saturday. Friday landed a 2,3 & 5#. Saturday only caught a good story. Fishing a minnow in Miner Cove and set my rod down in the boat, next thing I know the whole rig went flying into the water. Spent the next hour with a treble hook trying to snag my rod and the monster on the other end. After the ranger came by to check licenses we moved onto the next cove. Feeling sorry for myself, not sure what pissed me off more; losing the fish, my favorite rod and reel or not paying attention enough to lose both, we see a boat heading towards us with a gentleman with his dog holding up a rod asking if I had lost it. After he handed my rig back he opened up his livewell and pulls out a 4.5# fish and says, by the way this was attached to it too. Kind of the fish that got away story, and a hearty thanks to Robin and his dog for giving it a good ending. May his fish be large and bend his pole often.
