Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 0830 to 1130 AM. Caught 6 bass. Two were caught on a drop shot rig, one on a jig, and 3 on a texas rigged brush hog. All were taken in 6 ft of water or less. 5 fish were in the 1.5 - 2lbs class. My last fish was just over 6lbs. Action was best early.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Brush hogs shallow. Drop shot with a 4" worm on top with a jig on the bottom fished vertically, dead stick.

    Water Temp: mid 50's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Nice day, light wind from the south and partly sunny. Was able to get 19 bites, 14 in the boat, 3 short strikes and 2 small bass came unbuttoned. The fish were 1/2 lb--3.12oz, best 5 went 13.57 on my cull-m-rite scale. Most of my fish came on 3 lures: spinnerbait, jig, and bush hog. Fished spinnerbait on windy points and jig & plastic around cover or rocks near deeper water. Please remember to practice catch and release this time of the year. The big ones will move up soon. Tight Lines
    City: San Jose

Tips: Try and match lures to natural forage found in lake. Best bet in spring jig & pig and spinnerbait.

    Water Temp: 60+

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

    Report: Warm day + wind
    City: Mountain View

Tips: I had to work the bait to get bit. Slowly popping it off the bottom and not moving it to far at a time seemed to be the best bet. GET OUT THERE!!!

    Water Temp: 57-59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 4-close. Stuck to the shoreline near the dam. Was able to land 5 and miss just 1. All were relatively small for this lake (1.5-2lbs.). Caught all fish on small plastic worms. The one I missed was on a brush hog. It was a warm day with quite a bit of boat traffic on the water.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Fish are relatively shallow. I saw shad rising all over the lake after sundown...maybe shad patterns would work, huh?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I fished Bailey cove for a little over an hour this morning and had decent action. All my action was on a spittin image with an eratic retrieve.I landed four up to 2lbs, and had a couple dinks shake off. Once the sun hit the water, the action died off. I tried slow rolling blades, and the usual plastics in deeper water briefly, but had no luck. I noticed a lot of trash already bulding up on the shoreline within Bailey cove...." NOT GOOD ".
    City: San JOse

Tips: Pack it in......pack it out......

    Water Temp: 60+

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Finally took the boat to the lake for some creek action. Fish were there and ready to eat the brushog. Got 9 fish to 4 pounds. Mostly three pounders. Better fish were off shore. Saw many fish caught from the bank where I was fishing the week before. They looked to still be the pound and a half variety. Most bites came on the fall but some had to be worked. The smaller fish smacked the bait and the better fish just loaded up the rod. Fished from 2:30PM to close. The better fish came right away with the sun up high along the creek.
    City: Mountain View

Tips: Sometimes having new colors in old baits can really make a difference in how well you will do on the better fish. The little fish will eat anything but those better fish need to see something new at times. Get on the Zoom web page and start buying those new colors, they really work!

    Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I shore fished the south-east side of the lake today, near the horse satbles and such, from 2 to 5PM today. I slow rolled a white blade for 2 hours hoping to pik up a large fish, but it didn't happen. After seeing a nearby boat land numerous 2 pounders on texas rigged plastics, I gave up on the blades and broke out the C-rig. First cast produced a two pounder on the windy side of a point. The calm side had no takers. About a half an hour later, I got two more 2 pounders on consecutive casts. The smaller fish seem to have moved up into the newly filled parts of the lake, but not the large ones. With this warmer weather in should be matter of a week or two before the fishing really gets good on that side of the lake. Walking back to my car, there must have been 5 or 6 shore fisherman fishing the creek area near the stables. I didn't ask them any questions, but I wondered if the fish had really moved back that far already.
    City: San Jose

Tips: I used a c-rigged watermelon red Baby Brush Hog for my fish. The fish seem to be in groups along structure in the flats, just waitng for the water to rise and warm a little more.

    Water Temp: n/a

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Water level has risen slightly from last week, with the main body clearing well and the coves still a little stained. Really warm on the lake today but a moderate breeze and lots of boat traffic made things tough in the afternoon. I fished from 8-3 and had a good day. I tried something different and threw small rodstrainer jigs on my spinning rod, in addition to my normal 3/8 and 1/2 oz jigs. I also threw a blade in the mudlines/windblown areas. I hooked 8, landed 6, and missed 4 strikes. On the blade I got a 5 and two 2's, and on jigs I got one 3, a 2, and a small 12 incher. Would've been a great day had I been able to boat all my bites. Found a hot blade area in the afternoon and caught all my blade fish in under 15 minutes. I wasted the first half hour and the last hour fishing the Bailey Cove side of the lake....zilch....still too soon for this end I believe.
    City: San Mateo

Tips: Fish from the bank down to about 15'...fish are definitely getting ready to move up very soon.

    Water Temp: 53-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 8-4 Saturday. Started throwin' a shad patterned blade, while my partner used a deep diving crank. We hooked and boated 8 (4 apeice) ...best one 3#s on the crank, the others around 2#s. In the afternoon, I switched to a brown-purple jig, and got a couple more including a 3.5#er. Ended the day with the blade, and nailed the best fish of the day...6.25#s. One of the smaller bucks was already pissin' milt.....impatient little SOB! HAR HAR
    City: SJ

Tips: Slow was the key for both the blades and cranks. We covered a lot of water as the fish seemed somewhat scattered. Got bit from the bank out to about 12ft...although that doesn't mean much cuz we didn't really fish any deeper. Wish I knew where those "Staging Females" are holding!

    Water Temp: 59-60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Hit the water at 1:30pm. Started throwing 4" worms and stuck a 3lber in the back cove. Went to the spillway and hit two dinks. Then started fishing the main lake across from the boat launch. Hit one 2lber and one 4lber on the 4" worm. Then decided to throw a jig for the last 30 minutes and stuck a good 4 1/2. Tried cranking and ripping to no avail. Threw a blade for a good hour and nothing. Got a tourney this weekend so I won't be back here until next week. Hope the water clears up.
    City: san jose

Tips: Purple jig with a roboworm trailer got the big fish. 4" robo worm dark brown caught the others. The big fish came in the 15-20' range, dinks came in the 1-5' range. Good amount of wind blowing.
