Water Temp: 72-78
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the final West Coast Bass Delta Region team last Saturday. As usual the wind blew and fishing was tough. You know it's tough when we keep Barrack & Dobyns out of the top 5 places. That was not the case for the brother team of Todd & Cliff Gyotoku.T hese two guys came in with an outstading weight of 25+ lbs for 7 fish. Awsome for this time of year. The 2nd place team of Garcia & Lambrose also weighed a great bag at 23+ lbs. The weights dropped from there. We had 16.58 and got 5th. Top water is stillo ff. Top 2 teams caught most of their fish flippin big plastics; worms, lizards, reapers & craws. Next four teams flippin jigs. Crazy fish seem to be moving into their fall patterns.

Report: As predicted Barrack & Bryant won the WON Tri-State team championship on the Delta last weekend. Bobby & Greg weight a consistant 20+ for both days with a 2 day total just over 41 lbs. Guys from Oregon, Nevada & California flowed to the Delta on Wednesday & Thursday and just slayed em. The reaction bite was incredible. There were numerous reports of fish being caught over 10lbs. By tournament time on Friday the temp dropped 15 degrees and the wind was blowing. Needless to say this confused a lot of fisherman as there were only 3 bags the first day over 20 lbs out of 99 teams. One encouraging thing I noticed at both weigh-ins was the number of big fish. The warming trend moved this fish from their deeper haunts to accessable areas. Although the temp drop and wind drove them from the shallows, look for those fish to begin staging for what they think is the fall turn. Over the next couple of weeks when you catch a good fish, be sure to thouroughly fish the area as you may find a honey hole!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished 3rd straigh 100% team tournament on Sunday. The team of Hewatt & Rehrmann made it a Tri-fecta. These guys have just been consistent as they come. Best bite still continues to be the flip bite. Both jigs & reapers catching fish. Top water bite still off. Most of the Delta is extremely muddy due to low tides and recreational boat traffic. Wind has died down the last 3 days as the temp has climbed over 100 degrees for 3 days now. Should provide for a good topwater bite on the weekend. WON is having th ir Tri-States team championship this weekend out at the Hook, Line & Sinker at Big Break. Barrack probably gonna win another boat.

Water Temp: 73+
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished both 100% Bass tournaments this weekend. Made for a very long weekend, as to circumvent the 6 hour rule they had split weigh-ins. This adds yet another stratigical aspect to the day's fishing. Both days the wind was blowing from start to finish and made for very tough conditions. The top water bite was completely off. Those that managed to catch fish did so flippin jigs. This seemed to be the best tactic both days. We had a 7.48lb on Saturday & a 4.86 on Sunday for big fish of each tournament. We a so took 2nd on Sunday. All our fish were caught flippin & pitchin jigs as well. What we found was that if you could find a rock bank, with shade, clumps of grass (not the thick weed lines) and current, there would be active fish. These fish were either at the base of the outside weeds or up between the bank and the inside weeds. This worked great for us as a team. I would worked the shallow side and Rick worked the outside. We never caught a fish in the middle of the grass itself.

Report: Went out of big break marina and had lots of luck. fished only from 2:30-5:00p.m. and caught eight fish. two 1lb, 3 2.5lbs, 3 3lbs, and one 4.75lb. All caught crankind a model 6A in black chrome pattern. I was pulling it two feet and stopping just long enough for me to reel back and pull again. pulling it only a tad slower than i would in summer. All fish were at scattered depths but all fish ate the bait well. the bait was all the way in their mouths. No luck shakin worms or flippin jigs. The craks were killin em. I think the key was using 10lb line. I didnt get a bite on twleve switched to 10 and killed em. All fish caught out of marina. Most marinas are stacked with fish just got to have faith and look for clear water. Try all depths fish are scattered. As i said before just have faith that the fish will hit the faster moving bait. Good fishin to all. any q's e-mail me.

Report: Fished Franks Track area all day. During early morning and late afternoon we got 5 largemouth bass - all smaller than 1.5 lbs though. Fished mid-day for stripers without a hit.
City: FremontTips: Tips: Rattle-Traps were working best for the largemouth - fish were in 10 ft of water or deeper. Fog did not clear until about noon so be careful out there.

Water Temp: 55.6-58.2
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Weather: Stormy, overcast, no winds
Lake Level: Top of the high to out gong
Quality bites are far and few between through out the day. The black jig bite flipped into tules and rocks tends to produce the best fish of the day. Have found small schools of smaller fish 1-3lbs, around docks willing to take a dropshot. Jerkbait bite
Guide Information: www.CoochsFishing.COMTips: Gotta move around a lot and find active fish when tossing reaction baits, cover as much water as possible and don't hesitate ta move. Bottom bite, the jig & dropshot, require patience and ya gotta slow way down ta get bites.

Report: Bassnsalmonguy - Thanks for the concern and the heads up but I had previously checked the regs and all of the Mokelumne above the Highway 12 bridge (near B&W) is ok for salmon this year. It hasn't been in recent years. Last year the whole Mokelumne was totally off limits but not this year. In fact, while I was in the river on Friday, a couple of Fish and Game guys came by in a boat taking a survey. I told them I was going to try trolling for salmon but hadn't started yet. They said they didn't have any reports of salmon yet from that end of the Mokelumne. It was about 20 minutes later that I hooked into mine. Again, I appreciate your comments just the same.

Report: @MYBOATSFASTER.... First of all if your wiping your boat off ON THE RAMP your just an ignorant prick. OH and try to wave me off one of my spots and youll get an 8" would Punker with brand new 2/O Gamies in your face... Bet you dont even know what that is.

Report: Deepvbasser...
Sorry for the incorrect date on my report it should have been 1/15/12.
Glad the tip helped you out even though theye were dinks...small bites are better than NO bites.
City: SacramentoTips: As far as the rip bait tip I also paralleled the weed line and stayed just outside when I worked the bait; I would then move out and throw the bait at a 45 degree angle to the weed line and SLOWLY work it back to the boat. It was almost as though the fish would follow it out from the weed line as most bites came closer to the boat than the weed line.

Report: Fished franks tract from 11am-2pm. Short day out and calm conditions. Between the two of us in the boat, caught 25+. Both using crankbaits over weed beds and along grasslines. We had both a shad and craw colors. Both were hot but I had the edge with the shad on the front of the boat. But the bite was so good that we were double hookin with both colors. No big fish though. All around 8-15 inches. Still a fun 3 hour stint.
