Report: Would have really loved to be out on the water today. I mean, having just purchased a new G3 a few months ago and living only 20 minutes from the lake, you would think it would be at least a couple times a week that I would get my line wet. BUT, I had too many irons in the fire....what a busy life....I had to watch the gardner plant a blade of grass and pick up a leaf...then had to watch my windows get installed....had to watch my pool get put together....and next week I'm going to watch the new paint on the house dry....WHEW! I'm tired just thinking about it.. You would think that all of these things, being professionally installed could be done without MY supervision....but NO, I'm "JOE EXCUSE"...you know, anything to stay home every weekend rather than get out and enjoy life....I love my house THAT much that I simply never want to leave it. Wish it were on a few acres so I could have a pond put in...then I could have the best of both worlds....I could watch them put it in and stock it...THEN, without ever having to leave my comfort zone, I could fish in my own back yard....sell the boat...build a bridge and live under it like a troll. Think of all the memories of getting out and about and enjoying something other than my own home I would be able to miss! I love my home, I love 105+ degree weather and dirty air....I never want to leave it, SO, I don't.
    City: Visalia

Tips: Don't go anywhere, don't make friends....don't get out and enjoy life...hell, don't buy a boat when you can do everything you want in life from the comfort of your own home. Hell, if you leave, it may rain, might hail, lightning could strike, you could have a blowout, a tsunami could hit the coast, a tornado could strike, an earthquake could hit...a cold front could freeze everything. Do as MUCH as you can to never leave your home and watch the rest of the world go by and let life pass you by until you die. Just work, work, work and never enjoy the benefits of bringing home that paycheck. Hell, who wants to have fun in life, just stay home...it's ALL the fun you need!!

Report: Todd, do me a BIG favor....save all your tears you're cryin' about being backended on the water and bring them over here and dump them into Nacimiento or Santa Margarita....these lakes need all the water they can get and you're crying me a river....SO, either bring me the tear water OR build me a bridge and get over it son.....I love ya man....you taught me ALL I know about bass fishing...can't wait for Margarita next March.....
    City: Atascadero

Tips: If your partner bitches about being back ended....throw him out the back end of the boat and take off.....OR, better yet, if you see him bank fishing when you launch in the morning....LEAVE THAT SORRY BASTARD.....sound familiar, LOL

    Water Temp: 65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water around 6 a.m. There were already 10 boats on the water! Fished the wall across rom the irst ramp and picked up a couple o spots. Moved all the way around to the 5 mph buoys in ront o Greasy and the topwater action went NUTS! Small bass chasing shad or 1.5 hrs. Only got one 2# largemouth out o that. Labor Day action started getting crazy, especially the #$@*#@ jerk that was making his turn in the middle o all the bass boats ishing! Worked my way along the damn and was about ready to leave when my line elt kind o heavy. Set the hook to be sae and still elt like a log. Well that log turned out to be a 7.7 largemouth. Ater recovering rom a near coronary when I irst saw it turn then loosening my drag on accident, I boated it, went to the marina or a weigh-in and a photo then let it go.
    City: Hanord

Tips: Throw topwater i you see them chasing shad, it's a tough bite though. Big ish came on a 6' senko #297 in about 12'

Report: Rented a platorm boat with my in-laws. Between three o them, they caught 4 small bass on night crawlers. I didn't catch any on my lures, but got some strikes on a top popper. They caught 2 small ones at Horse Creek Campground and 2 small ones o o some rocks around the irst point east o Horse Creek Campground. We also ished Greasy Cove on the other side o the bridge, but no bites. The campground is about 1/2 under water. It's tough to ish rom shore at the campground, because the water is shallow, but the submerged trees hold some small ones. Then we went swimming in a shallow area on the west side o the entrance to the cove leading to the Kaweah River (don't know the name). I had my snorkel gear and went out to a tree that held a nice 3 or 4 pound bass. Waved hello and went to a big rock that held another o the same size.
    City: Concord

Tips: They only slapped at my popper and ignored my stick bait. Crawlers worked better. Plastics might work.

Sun came up and bite died. Started to worm and caught another six ish...pretty slow when talking about numbers o bites. My partner stuck a PIG at 0830 on the main lake. It was just out o nets reach when she jumped and spit the hook. She was about 11 or 12 pounds. Out o the 14 ish we caught only one dink and the rest were solid keepers. Another riend was at the Lake and he had me play camera man or him. He had a 4,5 and 6 pounder. Big ones are still biting.
