Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: This is not an April fools report!!!The fishes are biting. Fished in my float tube early, but not as early as the other three guys who had already beaten me there. Talked to them and they were fishing soft plastics. I was throwing a terminator buzzbait, and landed a fat 2 lber around vegetation. Wind started to pick up a little and couldnt buy a bite with the buzzer, so switched over to a Texas rigged baby brush hog, and was slaying them to death. Fished by a couple of guys in a boat who offered me some weed(you know who you are) but I wanted to concentrate on fishing. Well caught 7 fishes, the largest one going a solid and fat 5.5 on my stren digital scale. All fishes were shallow, was observing a dude fly fishing for crappie and he was killing them on every cast. well see ya on the lake, keep the dope at home though.
      City: san jose

Tips: baby brush hog worked from the shore out seemed to do well for me.

      Water Temp: 65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Paradise Marina at first light and fished in the Honker Cut area. My partner and I boated around 20 bass to 6#'s and 3 striper to 3#'s. Most of the fish were caught on dark plastics and rattle traps. Located some beds, but most of them only had small males on them. Battled wind most of the day. We got off the water at 2pm and our best five probably went around 17 #'s.
      City: roseville

Tips: Look for clear water. The delta is starting to get some run off and heavy boat traffic, so the water is getting murky.

Stopped at a couple shallow coves to look or beds. April ool- the south ork is dirty at best, and there's crud loating on the surace. Water Temp: 51-57

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Met up with Steve and Carol rom Reno, they are spending a week on a houseboat, lake up to 20.50t, in a bailey Cove at 0545, temp 53, out at 1230 temp up to 74, steady northwind at 10 mph, ran up the McCloud with Steve to Nosoni Creek or three with one smallmouth, irst came on the Rainbow #99 the other two went or a #109 MGM at weenie, ran downstream hitting some points and getting tapped here and there, went in near Potter creek where Steve picked up another short spot, the ish have gone a bit deeper with this cold ront approaching, expecting a 20 degree drop over next two days with a alling barometer and I thought we would do better, the wind picked up as the day wore on. Major hubbub about to go down over the private docks and garages in the water at turntable bay, the orest service is issuing eviction notices to the 125 olks who berth there and the people ain't going or it. I would expect a minor showddown when the gov't tries to move them out, the wind is scrubbing o the temps and the cold ront won't help either, the pre-spawn activity is slowed or now, no ish seen cruising this am.

Report: Hit Calero from 9-4 today w/ fellow NCBF'er Dave Chaen. It was VERY windy the whole day. We managed to put close to 20 fish in the boat up to 3lbs throwing soft jerkbaits in shallow water. A few of them also came on a worm, shallow crank, and blade. All fish came out of 5' or less today.
      City: San Mateo

Tips: If you want bigger fish, fish deeper!! I didn't because it was too hard w/ the wind.

Report: Fished with "silver ox" all day rom 7am - 430 pm he lit one up 3rd cast but it was a small one. 2 hrs later i casted a spinnerbait o all things and a 3# hit it as soon as is hit the water inront o the tules. then we ished all o the eastern shore with no hits even. lots o trout loppin pissed us o but we were determined to get more bass. hrs later silver ox hooked a good 2-3 #'er and had another ollowing it too the boat. i through in but couldnt get the other to bite and didnt want to tangle lines. ew more hours went by we moved closeer to the marina and no hits. wind made it tough to control boat at times and sun was hot so we decided to call it. all in all a typical chabot ishing trip nothing special except passing the time with a great riend and isherman "silver ox"- thanks
