Now the bad. The lake dropped another oot and a hal so now we need at least a 5 oot rise in water to use it. Thats a lot o water and its already the middle o November. Pray.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished GCB invitational on Sat. Had a decent bite going later in the day, but chose to go against the grain and try or some more active ish. We got lucky and ended up w/9.14 lbs early and never culled a ish all day. Caught 10 or so more keepers, but only up to 1.4 or so. Winners had about 9.78 or so. Missed the awards though as I waited about an hour to get the boat out. Due to upcoming events and riends ishing them, I'll not be speciic as to baits/locations.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: We caught ish rom 0' to 50'. It appears the water has gotten progressivly cloudier....maybe turnover.

Report: Fished a tournament on Saturday with the Gold Country Bassmasters, 28 boats and 8.89lbs was leading when I let. Came up a little short with 7.56. Still tough to get a decent ish but lots o un none the less. Fishing again this Saturday with the Bassbusters o Yuba City. I you plan on coming be sure to bring a new unwrapped toy or their toys or tots program, and a chance to win an Allstar AS Titanium Rod. Lake continues to drop but still got in and out no problem. We may be on the next lowest ramp by Saturday. Honestly don't know whats working best, but you can always catch a ew on pink. Good Fishing.

Report: Fished the lake today, Friday. Only 4 trucks in the parking lot when I launched at 8am. Fishing still good, but can't say much as there is a tournament there tomorrow. Talked with some guys on a patrol boat and they said the lake would be lowered another 2' per day or 4 days and then they plan on working on all the ramps. O course, last I heard it could rain by Wednesday or Thursday. Good timing, wouldn't you say?

Report: Launched at the spillway this morning. Not nearly as bad as I had heard. Trick here is to go down the road on the let hand side, cross over to the right at the bottom and then circle around to the let to line up with the dock. Stay as close to the dock as possible when you back in. About 15 boats launched or a small tournament and it went o like clockwork. The only thing that could slow you down coming out is i 1 or 2 boats get tied to the dock, in which case you need to wait or them to clear out. Keep the windows closed on your tow vehicle as its quite dusty. We didn't win anything but it was a beautiul day and we caught a ew ish.

Tips: We ished slow, but not slow enough and probably not deep enough.

Report: Here you go twobasspat. Fished a club tourney on Sunday the 18th. The ishing was slow or Oroville, but still managed to get some main body ish going. Partner cranked 3 ish over the slot on Bill Normans medium diver (white/purple). I caught all my ish on brown/green jigs in 10-20 eet o water. I had big ish o 4.48lbs and a total weight o 10 something,or the win. Starting to see more Largemouth these days as three o my ive were LM. Partner weighed in 2 largemouth. No top water bite or me and reaction bite was real quick in the morning beore it died.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Reaction bite is very spotty and does not last long. Jig bite is slower than normal, but as usual the quality is better. Most o the ish are ull o real small baitish, smelt i guess.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Oroville AFTERBAY>>>Not Lake Oroville. Once again I ind the water in a high condition and we head out at the crack o dawn or an early top water bite and it is ull and looks as smooth as glass. Can't wait or the ole buzz bait bite but it never happens. We knew that once the sun came up we could concentrate on the tule patches and that's exactly what we did and it was like site ishing or spawners and what a ball we had. Using Senkos and jigs, we had a big ish day with the largest tipping 8+ and many over 4 pounds. Got so hot we jumped in to cool o and you must remember the water is ed rom the BOTTOM o Lake Oroville and once you hit the water, you shot up like a rocket to get back in the boat the water was so rigid but boy did it do the trick to cool us down. Great day and our 5 biggest would easily have topped 20 pounds.
      City: WHEATLAND

Tips: Used a multitude o colors in the tules but the most productive were watermelon/blk lake Senko and red shad lizards. Jig was brwn/orange with Yamamoto grub trailer. You could see the bass on the outer edges o the tules and we would stand back, making long casts and just slayed them.
