Report: don't go the backpond on the weekend. went out this morning, it was like a DOG PARK in the WATER. Seriously WTF is going on. Its a lake to fish not for your damn DOGS. I thought the ranger is trying to do something? Is it legal to let the dog jump in the water? Its disturbing all the fisherman. Anyways, fishing Sucks NOW. I was doing good last month, but today just dead for me. FIRST time ever skunk in the arroyo pond with the TUBE.
      City: Fremont

Tips: Rangers should do something about the DOG in the back pond. Its getting ridiculous to fish there over the weekend.

Report: I suggest getting a pretty decent baitcast reel or else you wont have a fun time with it. I like quantum reels. But on the cheaper side of things you can get a shimano baitcast around the price your looking for. Also ball bearings make a difference when wanting a fast or slow retrieve. Look at cabelas.com or maybe bassproshops

Report: Ive been here a lot of times, but Ive never been into the ponds. Does anyone know if there are any transitions or channels? And do those poles mean that its deep back there?

Tips: laugh after a good (or bad) day of fishing

      Water Temp: cold

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The wind finaly slowed enough to get out today and I floated the back ponds. Started out on the first one (the dog pond) and did pretty good drop shoting 20-25 ft. I didnt think people would still let there dogs jump in that freezing a@# water. I had a 3 mil neo on and shill could feel it. I met some other floaters and they said it was a tough bite. They were pretty cool and told me how to get to the back pond (tule island) so I gave that a shot and only got one small bass but the area looks great. I will be back for sure.

Report: There are two ponds in the back with bass, the arroyo and the small island pond. Drive all the way to the end of the parking lot. Walk up the hill. The first one you see is the arroyo. Walk a little further down the path and you will see the other pond. They are both good size ponds with tons of bass.

Tips: get a float tube to fish the ponds. shore access is limited for both ponds.

Report: I love this place. It would be a shame to see it go down hill because of people not releasing there fish. To all you ppl who keep your bass, there are stocked trout in the main lake for you to keep and eat. Stay away from the bass in the small ponds!

Report: fished today with only one bite with a large senko.water is still very dirty. we need some warm weather to get the fishing up and running. there was at least 10 boats on the main lake. I guess everybody is looking for the lunker. kinda funny. by the way. I fished the small pond.
