Report: Kansas, the fishing is good in the spring. You can find largemouth on shallow flats with vegetation, dartheading with finesse wors or Carolina rig with brushhogs or salamanders, north end in dry, cherry and yorty creeks. For smallies rip a spinnerbait with some sort of red on shallow flats in the south forks. Tubes on jigheads and splitshot work well also.If u go have a great time, dont forget dropshot, smokes the smaller bass.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Couldn't pick up a pattern. Water seemed up so lake was deep. Fished Cherry in the morning with a minimal bite. A couple dinks around standup trees drop shotting black grape robo worms. Couldn't get anything else to go. Moved out to the main lake and ished points. A couple more dinks and then wham, a 5lb hog drop shotting the same black grape worm. My biggest bass at Sonoma. My pops hooked a 2lber on a speed trap. Good day, very hot.
      City: San Francisco

Tips: Fish seemed to be pretty deep. The only real pattern that produced was the drop shot. Careul thought, the hook loved to snag on tree limbs. Lost alot o terminal tackle.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: We just returned rom a 4 day camping trip in the Cherry Creek area. Lots o big wind and heavy rain. Still able to get in some good ishing. My son and I caught over 80 ish: the largest was 7lbs even, 3 over 5lbs and 6 over 4 lbs. The rest were less than 4 lbs but very ew dinks. We used natural colored senkos on 10 lb test. Went thru 100 senkos. Tried other baits but senkos were the most productive. Quality ish were on the wood in 8 to 12 eet o water. Slowing way, way down seemed to be the trick. Most are near the mouths o coves or on the banks - not much ar back in the creeks. The 7 pounder was caught in the howlling wind, I mean howling. She was at but not ully ripe yet to spawn. The 5lb 5 oz Ryan caught was a male with bloody ins rom making a bed.
      City: santa rosa

Tips: Use natural colors, slow down and try standing wood or better ish. I you want numbers the smaller ish are on the banks. All lures will produce ish now but palstics seem to give better results. Good luck

Report: Fished with the David the Beast today and we caught 10 black bass rom 1# to 5# on pig-n-jigs (red & black), senko (brown), baby brush hog(watermelon), 1/2 oz. Spinner bait (charchurse and white with copper blades), jerkbait(clown color). Water temp was 56 to 58 degrees. The small ish are shallow. Large ish are still in the prespawn phase. Talked to another boat and he caught 12 ish rom 3# to 6# in the creek channels o the lats in Cherry Creek Arm. Great time with David and son, Michael. By the way, I was breaking in a new 350 motor in my '89 Suburban when the old transmission lost O/D and drive gears! Drove rom Santa Rosa to San Bruno in second gear, 35 to 40 mph. I'm supposed to leave or a ten day trip with amily and boat tomorrow. Oh well. Thank God it did not happen during my trip.
