The bill was introduced with bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress. Two Locations Reveal Invasive red swamp crayfish
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources recently confirmed the presence of invasive red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) in Sunset Lake in Vicksburg, south of Kalamazoo (Kalamazoo County), and in a retention pond off Haggerty Road in Novi (Oakland County).

Red Snapper Season Now Open Friday-Sunday
LDWF to Open Fall Red Snapper Season in State Waters The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission, at its regularly scheduled October meeting, took action allowing recreational anglers to harvest additional red snapper in state waters beginning at 12:01 am on Friday, October 7, 2016, during weekends only. Weekends are restricted to Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.

Alton Jones Jr. of Lorena, Texas, wins the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open #2 held on the Red River out of Shreveport/Bossier City, La. Jones brought 13 pounds, 14 ounces to Saturday's weigh-in, giving him a three-day total of 35-14.

Red Abalone Public Workshop to be Presented in Santa Cruz

Life Returns to Utah's Red Fleet Reservoir
Those at the boat ramp at Red Fleet Reservoir were all smiles when the first fish hatchery truck drove down the ramp on Nov. 16. The truck released more than 3,800 Colorado River cutthroat trout into the reclaimed waters. The truck returned a few hours later with its second load of fish, another 5,000 cutthroat trout from the Whiterocks State Fish Hatchery.

Red tide continues to occur along the Texas coast from Matagorda Bay to South Padre Island. Red tide is a high concentration (called a "bloom") of a microscopic algae known as Karenia brevis.
