Cooch's Pro-Teen and My Love of Tournament Fishing
Hey everyone,
I just finished signing up as a boater for the pro-teen and had to post both a thank you and a call to boaters. This will be my 2nd year as a boater and my 6th year fishing this tournament. It was the first tournament I ever fished, and I loved the camaraderie and competition tournament fishing had to offer. This is a real opportunity to instill a love of tournament fishing in teens who maybe don't have the access to a boat or aren't sure if they'll like it. You don't have to be a sponsored, successful tournament angler, you just need a love of bass fishing. There have been a few situations where we've had to go 2 kids to a boat, and its just not the same experience. I encourage anyone interested to sign-up. Because of this event I continued to fish tournaments, and just won my first, the Western College Regional! Thank you Mr. Cuccia!

"The 20th annual 2017 C.O.Pro-Teen Classic is now "LIVE" for July 16th, 2017 at Russo's Marina on the California Delta"
Coach has a post on the very top of the fishing forum with more information.

Thanks Chad! Young men like yourself, Justin Lucas, Sean Alarid, the Bennett brothers, Billhiemer and many more young men and women who have not taken the leap to tournament fishing, yet have found and continued their love for the support of bass fishing, are the results and epitome of this event! It's truly amazing where our sport has grown over the last 20 years, not just here in California, where our youth have now began to catch up with the rest of Americas teens across the county in their access, exposure to and love for the sport of bass fishing.
We're looking forward to a great 20th annual event!

This tournament was one of my first back in the day. Before the high school and college events, this was kinda all there was for young anglers. Thanks Cooch!
is that glitter!? Nice boat tinkerbell!

What is the definition of a "Pro" for this tournament?
Re: Cooch's Pro-Teen and My Love of Tournament Fishing
@bassman - Have a boat and be willing to show a Teen a great day out on the river. I have fished about 8 Pro-Teens and some of the times my teens knew more of the river then I did
and others were just learning to cast. For a day regardless of your ranking status you too can be a pro. All that you have to do is sign up.
