
Recent storms have got the Sacramento River and Delta high and muddy. With lots of debris in the water, you want to be very careful out there. Persistent anglers are catching some fish with Sturgeon being the main target. There have been a few fish coming from Freeport down to Rio Vista but the majority of fish are from Sherman Island down.
For the best action Head up the hill! Anglers have been having great success at Camanche Lake. The trout fishing has been fair to great from the bank and trolling. It’s hard to beat Berkley Power Bait from the bank. The boat anglers are fishing Rapala F7’s and Berkley Power Grubs on the surface near the dam. Rapala Hot Steel seems to be the color of choice for now. Bass fishing can be great too.
