New WA state record largemouth caught!

Well it finally happened. The existing largemouth record from 1977 was finally beaten. I have heard of several fish over ten pounds being caught in the past few years and even a few "I let the record go instead of killing it" stories. The existing record was 11.57lbs and the new record was 12.53lbs!



The whole story of how Bill Evans caught it is on the Strike King facebook page. He was using one of their soft stickbaits and fishing out of a 9 foot, 4 inch-boat! Apparently he was quite the tournament angler when he lived in Ohio and is just getting into bass fishing out here after relocating to the Seattle area.



Congrats! The bar has been raised.
