Texas fisheries managers this past week proposed liberalizing regulations governing harvest of large-mouth bass, the state's most popular game fish, from 18 public reservoirs, including Fayette County, Gibbons Creek, Cooper, Raven and Possum Kingdom.
The proposed changes, fisheries managers said, are aimed at reducing, standardizing and simplifying some of the special regulations currently governing the harvest of largemouths and other black bass on almost 60 Texas waters, including largemouth harvest on 30 of the state's approximately 160 public wa-ters of 500 surface acres or more.
