im pretty sure they will not repair it.. its too old... post this in the lowrance forum and ken or marc will let you know for sure....

no shops will repair any lowrance units, and your 520c is pretty old.. you will need to send it to lowrance, and they will offer you a discount on a new hds 5. and you will have to put out some money on your own, to get the hds 5..

The rumor is a new HDS line with touch screen in 7", 8" and 12" screen size with SI/DI built in. Included this picture from somewhere.

i love lowrance, but i hate that every 2 years your units become obsolite. and not many people can afford to upgrade 2 $1000 units every 2 years... i guess its like any electronics, and its hard to keep up with the technology...

thats is correct... the shops will just hold the rods until a shimano rep. comes by and he picks up the broken rods when he makes a delivery or just a courtesy call to the tackle shop... but i have been told many shops they will include a $15. shipping charge... and another thing about shimano's rod...

i just did a swap for an older model, and i just went and found the same rod, in the new series, and walked out the door.. no $15. charge

hanks ken, anglers marine in orange county, ca. installed the lss-1 and the hds unit on the consol. i just swapped my 28hd from the bow with the new hds7 and new ducer and power cord and also connected it to the lss-1.. so im sure the wiring is fine, it must be something i did in the settings... i w...

ken, what do you mean by i will need to to install the transducer to the hds unit ? i have 2 hds7's gen 1, with an lss-1 gen 1, and there interlinked, but i dont know if it the 0183 or the 2000 nema ? i do have them set on shallow water, i punched the right ducers on each unit. but not sure about co...

i keep losing my depth and speed on both of my hds 7's.... i have tried everything and their still acting up... even when im sitting in still water i get a depth reading off and on ? and never when im using the big motor.. but my lss-1 has the correct depth, and speed. even when using the big motor....
