2009 tournaments
I dont see any change other than 100 percent bass, I dont blame Korney for puling out given the current economic status. I like ABA and WON schedules for the Mother Lode,AC threw 2 lakes that would require a lot of travel (pre fish) when you are working man that tough, anyone game for ABA or WON? Im talking the whole series.
Re: 2009 tournaments there are alternatives
consider this... weigh your REAL chances of cashing a check in most of the tournaments and you will start to understand why most tournament trails have started rookie tournaments. For the most part, most anglers are tired of donating there money to a handfull of guys who either have more time to pratice or are simply to good to be competing at the level they are at(not their fault the rules allow it). With The WRL, pro anlgers and guides are simply not allowed to fish...What this produces is a more balanced competition with the money being spread out between more teams over the course of the season. Please note, entry fees are less which also keeps some pro's from even wanting to show up and keeps your expenses down. Who WINS???? all the teams who just want a chance to compete and have some fun. I for one, was really tired of guys tossing there TROPHIES in the garbage can at the ramp, simply because the only thing the cared about was the money and not the fun that comes with true competition. The WRL puts the fun back in fishing along with other trails like FPT, WON Rookies, and A/C Semi Pro. weather the PRO angler likes it or not, The anglers are making a statement. WE WILL FISH AGAINST THE PRO'S WHEN WE GAIN MORE EXPERIENCE, AND NOT UNTIL THEN.
Come fish the WRL if you are looking for the fun you used to get out of team tournament fishing or are simply looking for your first chance at having some fun and competition in bass fishing at a truly amature level.

Re: 2009 tournaments there are alternatives
also for you pros that cant fish the rookie and semi-pro league there is a real chance to make some money. And that chance is the california team trail. 100% is going out on a limb with this and I hope it works. So there is a real option for us guys that can't fish the entry level circut. It is also during a time when there is no conflict with any pro-am or flw event. Hopefuly some of you guys will decide to fish it. I have nothing to do with 100%. I just think this is going to be a really good thing and I hope we get a full field.
