F.Y.I. Bass World West's "Cut-Rate Update"

Post by Jeff Taibi »

:D
Here's the current, straight and narrow for those of you who aren't on our email lists.

First thing to know is that our last day of operation will be Sunday, July 3rd. We will be here for a few days after that, but not open for business. We will let you know of any changes but that's the plan.

Our goal (though it may sound unrealistic) is to have absolutely ZERO products of any kind left hangin' come the last day!

We know that there is only one way to make this happen, (well, legally anyway) and that is the "PRICE IT SO LOW, IT HAS TO GO" method which has shown much promise so far.

With only eleven days to go, and still a fairly good amount of mdse. left, we have no choice but to hack prices down to incredible, and in some cases, ridiculous levels.
We honestly do not want to have to mess with any of this stuff and will do whatever it takes to move it!

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you out there who have supported us during the past four plus years.
Your showing of friendship and it's frequency will undoubtedly be the toughest thing for us to walk away from. The void that it will leave will take a good deal of time to even begin closing.

This was a difficult decision to make knowing how much disappointment we would be bringing to so many people. For that, we feel very sorry and wish we could make it up to you in some way.

This has been a positive experience for us and we have a lot of good times to look back on.
The entire group of people we have dealt with, on all ends of this, have been (with extremely rare exception) of such high quality that I would never have thought it possible unless I had lived it myself.
It has always been a true pleasure serving you because you have all made it that way. I can't even begin to tell you what a rare gift that is to a retailer!

We want to wish you all the very best of what life has to offer and, again, we want thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the good things you have brought our way, and in so many ways.

Best Regards to all,

Jeff Taibi

P.S. Forgot to mention that we will keep you posted regarding any new developements involving ourselves (myself or Chris) and the Bass fishing industry.

Never know what just might lie around the next corner...

Mark,

Thanks for the kind words.

As far as the website goes, it's obviously not possible to keep going without inventory. It will be taken off-line when we are done here.

What I'm much more intent on keeping going is the Lure Logic line of products which are extremely popular. I just haven't figured out a way to make it work since the stuff is built for us and there isn't enough margin there for me to sell it wholesale.
I'm sure something will work out eventually however.

Dunno yet Petey.

Guy was in here the other day and we're both startin' to think that you might just be trying to assemble a bunch of us rooookies together so you can lead us straight to slaughter and come off lookin' cool.

Wadda ya say about that, slick?

Jeff, we are going to miss you, you have created a place for us to learn, and socialize with the people who love this sport. We also were blessed with a great inventory of products to choose from at very reasonable prices. I personally have purchased many things from your store, and asked questions i dont believe a lot of people would have answered. Thank you for all that you and your satff have provided for us, and best of luck. seeya on the water. Scott Robertson.

Its time for everyone to get into Bass World West.....

word has it Jeff is letting people smack him on the *** with fully rigged MS slammers as pay back for him shutting the doors. He'll also dance a jig and swallow plastic worms upon request, or, if the purchase is over a certain amount. And....if the purchase is really big, he'll dress up like Micheal Jackson, put on one glove and moonwalk accross a trail of treble hooks barefoot. hehehe
Seriously though, there are gonna be some AWESOME deals on the entire inventory. He already has some EXTREMELY hard to find baits from Japan at VERY low prices, and they will get even lower but you'd better get in there soon before they sell out and you miss out on something special.
Hey Jeff, you have to make this paintball day, its gonna be a BLAST! I cant wait to blast you, Guy and Chuck. You fools are gonna look like three smurfs when I get done with lighting you all up with blue paint. Watching you three crackers walk off the field after I light you up is something I look forward to. Chuck said hes gonna wear his favorite camo thong just for you. So you cant miss out. I'll give you more details next week. Its at SC village. Pete Marino

Scott,

Thanks for your post, the words are much appreciated.
One of the most rewarding things about this biz was having people succeed with the advice you had given them. I remember our talks about The Delta in particular and modifying baits for you guys that ended up working well.
That was what it was all about for me and I will miss it a lot.

Take care,

Jeff

Now for you Marino

That's some fairly decent smack even by my standards, Mr. Moto X Before I Got Too Old.
Seems odd though that you would treat your only possible "Link to Lure Logic" so poorly. Hmm.
Oh, and how much did you want to buy that last LCX-17 for again? I seem to have forgotten the whole conversation...just too busy I guess.

How can you make it up to me you ask?
Tell you what. You can start by bringing me one of those blue paintball bullets.
Never mind why, that's my business liver lips.

See ya soon Petey Boy

P.S. Thanks for the 'good part' of the post - it was a welcome surprise.

Just show up on the 23rd and I'll show you that blue paint. It will be
splattered all over you so you'll have a close look at it. 8)
As far as our "conversation" ........do the right thing my friend. It could mean the difference between you only having a few paint
splatters on you and a full on Earl Shieb coating. :D
I'll talk to you on Monday sancho. Pete
