come on out and fish the FOCL event this Saturday. Proceeds go to Jr. lifeguards, those young folks who grow up and help you out at the main ramp in the north winds. Forecast looks way better this weekend! West ramp gate will be open from 4:30 am to 6. Lots of trophies, including the highest finishing adult-child and male-female team. Hope to see some of ya'll out there.

Procedes should go to a logboom so those lifeguards dont have to go IN the water. No excuse's from the lake either. Rick G.

On 2nd thought Rick if you send me a bunch of nice raffle items for after the event, I'll make sure to earmark them for the logboom...

FOCL meeting tonight, I'll see what the progress on a logboom is..
although I already know and am keeping it a secret(no ex SOCB prez, I don't want to hear it)...

Either way, Jr lifeguard is a great program, they offer a bunch of kids a great way to spend their summer days, learning Kayaking, water safety, CPR, you name it. Come on out and support it.

The only way we'll see a log boom at Castaic is if one of the floating outhouses breaks loose, rams the dam, and spills it's contents in front of the main ramp.
