STILL LOOKING FOR A HOLIDAY GIFT? BASS HAS THE ANSWER

CELEBRATION, Fla. – Looking for an out-of-the-ordinary holiday present? Or a gift for that person on your list who has everything? Walt Disney World Resort and BASS have the perfect solution for shopper’s block with a gift that fits everyone.

The home of world-class theme parks and attractions has joined forces with the world’s authority on bass fishing to produce a new lineup of BASS fishing excursions on the waterway systems of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy an experience that rivals actually participating in a professional BASS fishing tournament, complete with all of the equipment the pros use.

Novice and experienced anglers alike can experience the thrill of hooking and landing a sporty largemouth bass while fishing under the guidance of Disney’s experienced guide staff. The two-hour, catch-and-release BASS fishing excursions take place on the bass-filled waters of Seven Seas Lagoon, Bay Lake and World Showcase Lagoon, with Disney’s Magic Kingdom and surrounding resorts providing world-class scenery for a backdrop.

“Bass fishing is one of America’s fastest growing sports and one of the most popular among people of all ages, which makes it the perfect holiday gift for anyone,” said Reggie Williams, vice president of Disney Sports Attractions. “When you combine a BASS fishing excursion with the wide range of family-oriented entertainment that Walt Disney World has to offer, you have a gift that will create memories that will last a lifetime.’’

Guests on a Disney BASS fishing excursion fish from BASS-themed pontoon boats and use Bassmaster rods and reels, as well as depth finders and other professional equipment. Boats are stocked with cool beverages and equipped with a digital camera for guests to catch their memorable moments while catching a bass.

In addition, guests receive a one-year BASS membership, including 11 issues of Bassmaster magazine; a membership pack with a personalized membership card, members-only decal, embroidered patch and member handbook; free gear giveaways; information on local BASS chapters; eligibility to compete in national events; and other special discounts and benefits.

The Disney-BASS relationship was strengthened when BASS relocated its corporate headquarters to Celebration, Fla., near Walt Disney World, earlier this year.

“BASS and the Walt Disney World Resort are a perfect match,” said Don Rucks, BASS vice president and general manager. “Bass fishing has long been a family-friendly sport and there’s no better place in the world to spend time with the family than Walt Disney World.”

Excursions are available on a daily basis with advance reservations, and parties of up to five people can participate in tours. No fishing license is required.

Prices range from $195 to $215 for parties of five, and hours can be arranged for early morning, mid-morning or early afternoon. General BASS tours are also available for children, ages six to 12, for $30 per child for one hour.
