Re: Will you float with all your gear on.
I have tried this experiment with several different clothing configurations. I am 6ft and 175, fit with low body fat. It was July and I was in my pool (which is a salt water pool which actually adds some buoyancy) It was daytime and I entered the pool about 6/7 feet from the edge. I jumped in to dup...

Humminbird has the best customer service this side of tackle warehouse. The SI units are fantastic. When they realized people wanted downscan capabilities, they wrote the software and provided it FREE. The HB route gives you the best SI tech, (W/downimaging), the best customer service and at a cost ...

Re: USAC CASITAS PRO TEAMS
No one from Casitas is going to fish a Castaic tournament. They can't. No one from Castaic is going to fish Casitas. They can't. Thus there is no "loss" to either tournament by having them on the same day. The only thing that hurts the tournament turn-out is the ridiculous Casitas ban. Fra...

Am I missing something? How could a Casitas tourn, conflict with any other tourn? Casitas guys lake locked. Are people really willing to put their boat in quarantine for ten days on a regular basis to fish at Castaic or any other local lake?

Re: structure scan
Or you could consider one of the several SI units from Humminbird. They are all one unit/one transducer and you can easily install yourself. Humminbird now has downscan as well, which was merely a FREE software upgrade from Humminbird. I would highly recommend the 997/998 which can be purchased for ...
Re: Bow graph
Actually I'm looking for a TV screen without the GPS or waypoints or anything else, just as big a picture of the bottom as I can get.
Bow graph
Because of old age, I want a larger screen on the bow. I have a Humminbird 997 at the helm and 787 on the bow which I only use for the chart/waypoints from the 997. So I don't need gps but I need a bigger screen to replace the older Lowrance x35 at the front. It seems the big screens are all gps'd a...

In case some of you are asking Santa for one of these rods I thought I had better give my experience with one. It is the Carolina/Swim Bait model. +1Unless you're throwing billed swimbaits to get that crankbait wobble, the action of most swimbaits and cranks are totally different. In my opinion, they are closer to replacing blades than cranks.

I suppose if you want to end up with 2 sets of rain gear then get insulated for the extremes of winter fishing. But "generally"you will be pretty warm (read sweating like a pig" ) under the most likely winter/rain conditions in SoCal and even NoCal. I have a snowmobile suit which I us...

Buying a used one is a good idea. I have been using both for years. When I first started fishing it was with a spinning reel so left hand was normal for me. I was casting normally with my right hand...seemed odd to have to switch. I used to laugh and call right hand reels left hands because switchin...

When the same happened to me I tried several approaches, including using the underwater camera...no luck. But in researching the problem I thought this was ingenious.
