Re: Carolina Rig, what is your line set-up
For me there are advantages to carolina rigging with a swivle vs the mojo weights. For 1/4oz and under the mojo or peg its work great but to me this is really heavy split shotting. The heavy weight with the line freely running through allows the fish to pick up the line without much resistance, it ...

Re: C/R, what is your line set-up
I use the mojo pegs. it takes a few of them, but holds really well. I will use anywhere from an 1/8 to 3/4 oz weight depending on situation. It usually stays until you get hung on something good and that's when you would probably be breaking off a traditional or at least reeling in to check ur line ...

I hate using leaders. I just use flouro with one knot at the hook. I just peg a bead up the line, under the weight, and eliminate 2 unneeded knots. Works for me

Re: New proposed Lake County invasive mussel program
There is only one way to stop the spread. That's to think in reverse. If launch your boat at an affected body of water, then you must be required to affix a permanent tag on your vessel. And to remove that vessel from those particular waters it must be put through a quarantine. so plain and simple......

Trust me. Fish out of a boat with a recessed pedal a while and try to go back to one on the deck. You'll find out that you have only gotten used to having the pedal on the deck, and that having the recessed pedal is the way it should be. I fished with my dad not to long ago and his pedal is still up...

For those who don't know, we that live in the South Bay area are very blessed. There are numerous lakes that, while not the best managed and boat/bass angler friendly, are very close and fish well. You can say that if you stick a ripbait up a donkey's butt you'll catch more fish, and most anglers will try it at least once. Say that buying a five dollar stamp could help with training and under-staffed Warden programs and most are skeptical and want nothing to do with it. Why not be optimistic a...
